One of my aunts passed away about two years ago. She used to collect stones from around the Great Lakes in Michigan, and polish them as a hobby. I have a large jar of them, and was thinking about having a friend who is a jeweler use them to create Mala needs.
My intent was to use the Mala during prayers for those who have passed or who are sick. Would this be something appropriate to make and ask to have blessed? I was curious if anyone here has done anything similar?
Did you take your classes in person or online, and did you have a preference? I am thinking about taking a beginner course, and it seems in person may be the best, but, I was curious what others experiences have been. I am in the Philadelphia, PA area, if anyone happens to have recommendations in that area. Thank you!

Now that Billy seems to be focused on releasing previous material, does anyone think we will get an extended gossamer EP? I think a 25 minute EP of just this would be a fan favorite.

Just finished listening to the finally LPs in the new Machina box set and put AMM. Just my opinion, but, some of the songs on AMM live up to the OG records. The first three tracks are great together.
I’ve been a huge fan of Magdalena Bay. I love the unique soundscapes they bring to their music. I see people here asking for music recommendations a lot, and I have to say Water From Your Eyes “It’s a Beautiful Place” is such a fun record to listen to.

There have been a lot of non -SP albums I have loved in the past 12 months, but, as a long time SP fan, this is the first three run of songs on a record that had given me the chills since Machina. I’m not comparing the sound of the record to their previous, they always do something different. This just felt like the first opening salvo on one of their albums in a while where the songs really grab you. I’m so looking forward to this tour with AMM songs and Machina. A good year to be a fan.
I have yet to purchase a copy of “Ogilala” and it’s one of Billy’s recent albums I happen to really enjoy. I was wondering if anyone has the Madame Zuzu’s “Darkest Eaves” vinyl and what you think of the sound quality? I was gravitating towards getting this rather than the “Ogilala” album because there are also live Pumpkins and Zwan songs included.
I just ordered the live Viper Room LP, and I was curious about any of the releases that have pre-Gish material. Any thoughts on sound quality or just overall quality of these songs, and which LP is the best?
It’s not bad, but, I think just about every track is better. I was slow to come on board with Bad Romance and it’s one of my favorites now so who knows? I prefer “LoveDrug” and “Shadow of a Man”.
But I wonder if Kim ever reads fan stuff. I’m obsessed with her title song “Nobody Loves You More”. If I could get some special part to the song that would mean so much to us, I wish there was a way we could reach out.

I’ve been a fan since Manson’s Antichrist Superstar album. I stopped following his music after HolyWood, but recently really got into his latest album and ordered the vinyl. I’m pretty sure there aren’t any official AS presses for sale at the moment, but I have seen this unofficial press on stores like DrownedWorld. Does anyone have this version and if so, is it worth it? Thanks for any feedback.
