Needed to replace the Thermistor on a GE dishwasher.

Looked up YouTube video and it seemed like this would be easy. And it was until you get to the last steps.

This is where the GE "engineers" decided to make it hard. Two screws hold a plastic piece that needs to be removed to get the thermistor out. Instead of putting them where they are easy to see and remove, they position them behind the thermistor.

And once you manage to get the thermistor out, the wiring harness is too short to easily remove the old part and install the new one. Just a couple inches of cheap wire would make all the difference.

I'll never buy another GE pos appliance.

I have an application I am working on that imports a series of .csv files.

Each file is linked to Access then processed. Everything works fine.

After processing the file, I want to move (using FileSystemObject) the file to an Archive folder. I could swear I've done this before, but now I get error 70 (permission denied) when the code gets to the FSO.MoveFile statement.

Access is locking it up (can't even open it in Excel). if I exit Access, I can then do anything I want with the file.

Any ideas on getting Access to release it's hold?

I've tried to delete the linked table (and was successful) but the .csv is still being held by Access until I close Access.

So how much should I tip?

Based on drive-time plus number of items?

Or (as suggested by the app) percentage of order (which seems like it could be under/over tipping)?

I ordered groceries from Winn-Dixie for the first time. I wasn't aware that the order would be processed by DoorDash.

I have some questions:

Does the driver actually go in the store and pull the order items off the shelf and bag them?

Do they get paid anything over the tip amount?

If I want to tip in cash (so I set the tip to zero in the order), will that cause my order to be rejected?

Do the drivers prefer cash tips?

Adding account

Official Response

I currently have an IRA account with Fidelity. Can I also have a taxable brokerage account setup so I can see them using the same login?

Everyone talks about MSAccess as a database. But it really is an app building tool (with a DB tool tossed in).

So if I'm going to build a web based application with SQL Server as the DB component, what do I use for creating the Forms and Queries?

I keep seeing ads from "Finance professionals" with click bait titles implying there is some way to convert some IRA funds to Roth without paying the taxes. This is obviously untrue.

Since I won't pay for this dubious advice, anyone already fall for this that wants to share the "secret"?

The system has been trying to update the firmware (from 5.0.2 to 5.0.4) for three days. Message says Downloading the update - do not interrupt. Get to 99% and freezes. I power it off, turn off power at breaker and restart. Looks like it is ok. The next morning the whole process starts again.

Tried to use a flash drive to download the firmware update from the Hayward website and use it to complete the update. Nope. Same issue.

Found nothing online (other than others with same issue going back years with older firmware updates).

Anyone else having this problem? Got a solution?

We had solar panels (25 Panasonic 400 watts for total of 10kw) and a Tesla Powerwall battery installed about 3 months ago.

I have never been able to reconcile the numbers from the Tesla app. It shows the panels creating energy, but our house using .2 or .3 kw, and most of the energy going to recharge the battery or to the grid.

The amount going to the grid seems much higher than the Duke energy meter shows.

The installer comes back, moved the CTs, but nothing changed in the Tesla app.

They did install a small breaker box in the garage to give us a limited number of outlets that will use the PW in the event of an outage.

Is it possible that the "house usage" CT is connected to this smal

We had 25 400w panels installed with a PowerWall 3 about a month ago.

I don't understand the app. It shows we generated 50kwh but only used 1 (seems too low) and exported 49 to the grid. But reading the Duke meter each night at midnight shows that we are using some power (which I don't understand given the PW) and exported some energy (but not close to 49kwh).

The installer came by and moved the CTs, but the issue remains.

Am I reading something incorrectly?

We got Panasonic panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3 about a month ago.

The installer got me to download the Tesla app. I've been recording the Duke Energy meter readings every evening at midnight.

I don't understand how we are still using any grid power since the PW3 should provide power when the sun is down. And the readings from the CTs should show me what is happening with the panels and the PW. But it shows us creating power, using very little (like 1kwh for the entire day). If this were true, then I should see almost all the solar going to the grid. But the Duke readings show much less than that being exported.

Any ideas?

We just got our permission to operate from Duke. The Tesla app indicates that everything is working. Panels are generating power, Powerwall is charged to 100%, and most of the power is going to the grid.

So before I make my final payment to the installer, is there a way to verify that Duke is receiving the generated power? I don't want to pay the final installment, wait a month, and then find out that something isn't working.

Tried to contact duke but gave up after being on hold for a while...

Installed a Kasa single pole motion sensor light switch in garage a year ago. Worked fine for almost a year. Now it intermittently stops working. Will not turn on light via motion nor physically pressing switch nor via the app. Then a couple days later it works again. Then again it stops working. The little light on the switch itself still lights up so it is getting power. When I use the app, I can hear a little click in the switch when I press the power on button in the app.

Tried the reset button to reinstall and although the steps completed ok, switch still doesn't work.

Any ideas as to why it would work for a while, then fail, then work, then fail again?

We recently completed a screen enclosure in the backyard. I bought some strings of lights with included solar panels. Left the panels facing south for a couple nights. But they don't appear to charge while within the screen area. If I put them outside of the enclosure, they light up in the evening.

Question, does the screen itself block the panel from charging? It doesn't shade the area.
