Online DM here, recently trying to make my combats more interesting by having more varied enemies and maps. Maps are easy enough to manage thanks to Owlbear Rodeo letting me hide specific information from my players, but I struggle with keeping track of statblocks for multiple types of enemies when I have to go between tabs or windows looking for them, and it's led to me forgetting information or abilities that certain enemies have. Printing/writing out statblocks is unfortunately not really an option as I don't have much desk space and it's already dedicated to quick notes for anything that comes up during the session. The alternative is studying my statblocks and strategizing accordingly b

I'm technically on A10 but feels like A9 because I have yet to actually reach an Act 3 boss. Most of my runs die in Act 1, where I feel like I'm constantly on the back foot because of how high the unavoidable chip damage is — I feel like I can never feel confident taking elites because of it. All my A9 wins seem like they happened after hours of bashing my head against the wall until I got really powerful early uncommons/rares, which is obviously not a consistent strategy.
I guess my main issues are that card picks and mapping just feel awful in this act. Every decision I make feels wrong, but I know that statistically most if not all of my lost runs would have been winnable...

Genuinely just can't get past the combination of flying enemies, stealing balls, and healers
Pretty good game overall. I didn't really like the combat (guns felt clunky, and the plasmids don't seem that useful). To be fair, this one could be because I played on controller and the aim assist was super inconsistent - sometimes almost aimbotting for me but mostly nonexistent. I also really liked the hacking minigame but it got really hard and almost luck-dependent later on (even with the hacking tonics).
I also feel like it would be more fun if there were better movement options, but alas you can basically only walk or crouch.
The exploration and finding audio logs and environmental storytelling was really cool. Overall I liked the story in concept but the execution felt until about
So I'm just pulling up to the Lifehold Core and saw the cutscene where Elma tells everyone what to do, then it cuts to Yelv, Boze, Alexa, and HB in their Skells. I know that these characters were DLC in the original Japanese version of the game, so did this cutscene exist before then? If you owned a Japanese copy of the Wii U version and only had
In DE, does the cutscene play out the same way if you don't have them unlocked?
Anyone else experiencing this or am I doing something wrong? Pretty often when I move heroes between inns on Kingdoms mode, the Rest button for embarking on my next destination just stops working. I tried using the touchscreen to click it and it still won't let me rest. I can fix it by exiting and reopening the save but it's annoying because the game only saves at the start of your "Inn phase" meaning I have to all my movement, skill upgrades, inn upgrades, etc. several times. Any help would be appreciated
First, the elephant in the room: The game is visually... bizarre. I won't even say it looks bad, because it doesn't! The graphics are colorful, the combat animations are flashy, the presentation is solid... but the character designs, man. I feel like half the cast looks like standard FE fare, if a bit more colorful, but the other half looks like Vtuber designs. It's such a strange choice for a game meant to celebrate the history of the series. That said, the atrocious writing meant I was skipping cutscenes (this horse has been beaten to death and more, but the game genuinely got much more fun after an hour in when I just started skipping cutscenes and dialogue) and not seeing much of these c
I know it shows rolled numbers on the results screen but I don't fully understand what they represent
So I maxed Maiko earlier in the year, but just recently forgot to rescue her from Tartarus (not sure how that works because she moved away a couple weeks ago but whatever...) Is her SL still considered maxed for the achievement? Everything seems fine on the Social Link menu but idk if I have to rewind because then I'll have to redo the Hanged Man fight.
So I'm fairly far in to the game (late August) and I've reached a point with my teammates where it says "I don't think __ will gain any new skills even if I watch a DVD with him/her..."
So I assume that there are no new scenes and I got the extra passive for their Persona but I'm just confused because I know Social Links also have confusing wording that makes it seem like you can't progress the Link anymore while it just means that spending time with them won't have an immediate effect, and you'll have to spend multiple days to rank up. Is it like that for these dorm interactions or have I seen all I need to once they get their passive?
Really enjoyed this level and it felt somewhat familiar but I couldn't place how. I know some other stages are based on SA1/2 and Unleashed, is this one of those that I can't remember or is it original?
I’ve been playing a lot of Sonic games for the first time this year (so far: Sonic 2, Colors Ultimate, SA1, SA2) and plan to write a longer overview post for them at the end of the year. But playing SA2 made me feel very strongly in different ways, so I wanted to get a post out and see what people think.
The first thing I have to say about this game: Sonic feels goddamn fantastic. The Sonic and Shadow stages are very good: they’re fast, they have multiple pathways that feel three-dimensional and flashy set pieces (I knew City Escape was iconic, but nothing prepared me for the rocket segment in Metal Harbour!). The main nitpick I have against them is the gravity gimmick from Crazy Gadget/Fin
Trying to get through this game has been an absolute slog so far, which is bumming me out because I enjoyed SA1 so much. I just can't stand playing as Knuckles or Tails. Knuckles' stages feel either way too big or too small, and Tails' mech feels awful to control.
Currently stuck on Eternal Engine because it feels so counterintuitive. The game tells you to be proactive with locking on in order to get high scores but starts punishing you for it with the bombs, then starts forcing you to be extremely precise with your lock-ons to hit the fake Chaos enemies. I can't believe 2/3rds of the game is dedicated to these characters because the Sonic stages are actually really fun, but I'm dreading t
New player here, as far as I understand you get eggs from the gacha (which I did) and then need to clear floors to hatch them. I finished my first run, went back to main menu, and did a gacha pull to get what I think was 1 epic and 4 common. Where can I see the eggs and their progress towards hatching? There's no option to check on the starter select screen.
