I was born in 1988, got into Metallica from my older brother when I was about 11, and from there I immediately started getting into Scandinavian bands that I discovered through a Century Media compilation CD and going online. In Flames, Children of Bodom, Opeth, Nightwish, Sinergy, Finntroll, Dimmu Borgir, Lacuna Coil etc etc etc. and all of these young bands were releasing insanely good albums. I was obsessed. I can't believe how many good melodic metal albums came out between like 2002-2006 just those 4 years. The music felt vital, and it was definitely a movement.

My brand new Crosstrek - just reached 1000 miles. I have never done anything like this to a vehicle in my whole life and I'm pretty upset. I backed up last night into a rock wall. I don't see any cracks or serious damage but it's pretty chewed up. Please share advice on fixing this.

Hi, just got a brand new whip from the dealership 3 weeks ago. I just got the plates in the mail yesterday. I just filled out the online form to get the legacy black and yellow plates and paid the $50.

I find myself being a little confused. Will the new plates be the same license plate #? Should I put the plates I received yesterday on now, or just wait until I get the black plates? Will they also send me a new registration card and tags with the new plates? Will it take 3 weeks or is it a longer wait?

Guitar is not my primary instrument - but I do play acoustic occasionally, I have a lovely Martin. I'm a band director and looking to play more electric for musicals and other events and do some home recording. I still have my lefty ESP ltd. M-50 that I got in middle school but only have a tiny little practice amp at home - want to upgrade both. I'm selling some other instruments to fund guitar gear.

Hey to any long time Antioch residents- my grandfathers cousin Verne Roberts was the mayor of Antioch for a couple years in the 70s, and Verne Roberts Circle was named after him. Any old timers remember him? He seems to have been a pretty important person in the old days of Antioch.

PS: My grandpa and his brother used to brag about holding some track and field records at Antioch High that have no doubt been erased many times over the following decades lol.

My bike was unlocked in my parking spot in my gated apartment building. Someone stole it and left me their less nice Huffy. My bike was old, bought second hand years ago and I hadn’t been using it so I’m not very upset. Should I keep the huffy and lock it up? Take it for a joyride somewhere?

I am arranging music for a small orchestra using recordings and a piano reduction as a guide. I'm also a music educator that has unusual ensembles that requires me to re-score parts, for example, take a Horn in F part and write it for Alto Sax in Eb. I've always used Finale, and frankly I've always preferred to just quickly write out a chart by hand in a pinch. Finale crashed quite a bit and trying Dorico didn't feel intuitive to me. I've done a bit of research and seen mixed reviews for ScoreScan, SmartScore.

I'm looking for tips and experience on software that can:

1. "Handwrite" charts on a tablet with an apple pencil quickly and accurately and read it as midi/be able

I’ve been weightlifting for about 3 years. As I’ve gotten stronger and bigger, muscle imbalances have become more evident. My right arm is a little bit bigger than my left arm. My left shoulder moves around more and is less stable than my right shoulder during pressing. For example, doing dumbbell pressing, my right arm has great form and a clear range of motion while my left arm is wobbly and a bit weaker. If I stand with heavy dumbbells at my side my left shoulder hangs a little lower than my right shoulder. This imbalance is not an impediment to my quality of life and most people would not notice it. However, it bothers me and I’m not sure how to fix it.

Loudwire had a youtube video where they were interviewing Alexi. They took it down after he died of alcoholism, because in the video they were asking him how much booze could Children of Bodom drink? And they had some bottles of booze and a case of PBR. I understand why they took it down since alcoholism is what killed him, and it is not a good look to glorify alcohol, but I was wondering if it's available somewhere. Thanks.
