They changed the reward from the second event from Rev-01 upgrade kits to Rev-01 parts, which saves everyone who already used the extra set of Rev-01 parts from Resonant Synergy to upgrade their first Rev-01 to Gold II (which would have made an extra set of Rev-01 upgrade kits useless to them, and left them unable to rainbow their Rev-01).

The ST upgrade system is still obnoxiously confusing and way too easy to screw up, and I would like to see them rework it, but at least they recognized they'd created an issue here and addressed it.

Just completed my full clear of this from the second start position (no Sylvie, Frida, or Shawnee. My STs' battle power are all in the 60-70k range). This goes in the box of "Hopefully relateable" rather than exceptionally skillful or anything, but I'm posting it in case it helps someone else, as I was stuck here for a while.

Notes:

  • The key was to go around Ridgewald and leave her for last (there's a one tile path into Pip and Andrea's area that doesn't aggro Ridgewald's people). This let me get fire under Andrea asap, and Andrea takes a while to bring down but she's slow

New Lucidscape

is very obviously designed for the Anniversary patch that we don't have (lol).

Buffs are hp loss-based, side 1 has Mineral enemies for Nautika and side 2 has Spirit enemies for Euphoria Lucy.

I found my Nautika-less non-Euphoria Semmelweis hp loss team didn't have enough firepower to 3* it, but my Star FUA team ([e]Lilya, Flutterpage, 37, Kiperina) was pretty comfortable there, and non-Euphoria Lucy (with Anjo, Mercuria, Fatutu) handled side two.

I'm sure an Impromptu team annihilates side one too.

Alongside the Tawil banner, during the anniversary patch we're getting a daily rotation of rerun banners, the schedule for which is as follows (taken from the patch notes on Steam):

From November 18th 9:00 to December 16th 9:00, the following awakening events will be open for limited daily rotation reprints, repeating for 2 cycles. The specific rotation order is as follows:
● Day 1 and Day 15: Deep Sea Realm Damage Awakener "Tulu", Wheel of Destiny "Song of the God King".
● Day 2 and Day 16: Ultra Realm Damage Awakener "Daffodil", Wheel of Destiny "Most Precious Collection".
● Day 3 and Day 17: Caro Realm Damage Awakener "Sorel", Wheel of Dest

Zeno Anecdote Thoughts

SpoilerDiscussion

Enjoyed the anecdote. As a self-contained story, it works pretty well - I liked getting more characterization for Lilya, and Hassan is a well-sketched character. There's too much "As you know George" dialogue and Aleksei is a bit over the top, but it works.

Nitpicks -

I was frustrated that it continues the trend of side stories not really engaging with the overall world-building. Zeno seems to be engaged in a military nation-building exercise modeled on something like the U.S./NATO engagement in Afghanistan (albeit a few decades earlier), but we're in the post-Storm world (

Firebros and Firesisters!

Those of you having or looking forward to pulling Ruan Mei, carry on. You're cool. That's still Firefly's meta team.

However, I don't love Ruan Mei. I had been ruminating on whether to pull for her anyways, because stronk, or to be contrarian and skip her. But I do love March. And March 8th's beta kit just dropped, and she looks like a potential (FTP/contrarian) substitute for Ruan Mei in the Firefly team. And she's free (including all of her eidolons) in 2.4.

So this is your PSA: If you're looking for an excuse to not pull Ruan Mei, you may be able to use March instead. If this is of interest to you, you should at least delay pulling Ruan Mei to see the results

Random Lore Questions

SpoilerTheory & Lorecrafting

I picked up the game a week ago and am about halfway through Chapter 5. I'm finding the worldbuilding interesting but confusing. I read most of the text, but have probably some missed stuff that was mentioned. Thought I'd float some questions if anyone wants to enlighten me or just discuss their theories (I don't mind spoilers if there's stuff I haven't come to yet, or information from past events I missed):

1. Vertin's injuries: I thought the text said that Schneider shot Vertin multiple times in the earlier part of the speakeasy segment (I think in the arm, in the leg, etc.), but there is no subsequent mention of Vertin being injured. Did I misread that, or can arcanists just shru

The people must be told. Save your 300-500 summon stones.

(For those who are new or have been living under a rock, F Daevala is the strongest champion in the game, you need the Daevala companion to fully develop her, you need 60 companion shards to summon the companion, you get 30 shards as a bonus for pulling 270 summons, and you have to get the other 30 shards from summons, at a 10% drop rate. So on average you need 300 summons, but i

New player, have saved up a bunch of wishes and debating whether to pull them with the Sunset Sages boosts active, or not. Early game, so my focus is PvE.

I am leaning towards yes, because I have one Walter already, and if I got more copies I could go all in on him as my main damage dealer. Guhanna seems like a better (for PvE) Space, and Alahan looks strong as long as the AI can use his hp equalize ability intelligently. I'm less sure about Slackdo and Elbek.

My main hesitations are that none of them is an AoE hp burner, and I wonder if I should be fishing for one of those as a priority (though maybe not as Walter can do that role?), and that none of the epics look very useful, so I may b

Hydra Theorycrafting

Team Discussion

Now that we have the ability text of the 6 heads (see the link in the sticked Patch 5.0 Highlights post for reference), we can start thinking about what the teams are going to look like to tackle this boss.

All of this is theory, and could turn out to be comically wrong, but here's my thoughts so far.

General comments:

  • I am guessing that the best teams will be built to be able to handle all 6 heads, because the inactive heads can substitute into the fight whenever you kill a head. It's also possible that teams might be built with no counter to one or both of the inactive heads and just roll the dice and hope not to get them (particularly since you can cancel and restart your attempt wit

An elf, a necromancer, a demon prince and two minotaurs walk into a bar...

I built a poison detonator speed team recently for Dragon 24 and Ice Golem 24, and thought I would share. Admittedly the usefulness of this for most people will be limited, since the champions required are pretty specific and if you have Seer then you're better off using a Seer team, but I don't have Seer, so here we are.

First the poisons - Kymar's A1 gives me 1, BEK gives me 2, Elenaril's A2 gives me 2 and Taurus gives me 4, and then Flesh-Tearer adds one stack to all of

Hard DT Retrospective

Team Discussion

Completed Hard DT today. Been playing about 18 months, almost FTP (only money spent was on the Battle Pass).

My team for 95% of it was Duchess, Lydia, Ithos, Maulie and Kymar. Speeds around 250 except on Ithos, who's at about 200.

This team can handle just about anything. Duchess in a Regeneration set with 450 resistance is almost completely invincible, so as long as I focus the block revives down first I win. Duchess also provides block debuffs to deal with Tormins. Lydia brings a huge amount of utility with her buffs and debuffs, and her A3 lets me lock down a
