a vile, queerphobic, racist community. where clear hatespeech and support thereof is passed off as jokes that should not be taken seriously. as if the persons making them aren't clearly completely miserable existences to be around.

news flash, assholes, nobody wants to be around you except for other assholes. it's genuinely telling these people don't get what's coming to them way more often. they continue to be allowed to exist here on reddit. in discord communities, participate in events, and even (god forbid) have a voice on anything, as if they have any moral compass to make unemotional and unbiased decisions.

but of course it's the suppressed minorities who are wrong for being offended

I'm writing a document where I want to start page numbering from 1 twice. I have:

  • a title page (with a Next Page section break),
  • a blank page (with a Next Page section break),
  • a table of contents (with a Next Page section break),
  • another blank page (with a Page Break).

Page 5 is now supposed to number each page with roman numerals (I, II, III). The footer has Different First Page and Different Off & Even Pages checked. Link to Previous is disabled.

The page numbers are configured to start at 1, but show II for page 5. It's not possible to set the page numbers to start at 0, because the value is not allowed for roman numerals.

Hello, European here. I don't really watch basketball in any large capacity. But I enjoy some of the highlights and can understand and appreciate the hype.

My understanding of basketball rules is very limited, but as far as I can tell, a player "travels" when they take more than 2 steps without dribbling the ball.
What conditions must be fulfilled for a player to "take a step" without dribbling? To my untrained eye, travels occur quite frequently, because I'm under the impression while a player touches (or holds onto?) the ball, the "step counter" starts increasing.

I watch some of CoshReport's compilations and the most recent one as of today contains such clips again: https://youtu.be/Z

Hi, quick question since research came up unclear on it:

Is it possible to set up a uBlock filter on a domain like https://example.com/foo? Best answers I saw online is finding a specific element that exists only on that certain path, but I was hoping for an easier solution.

Hi, is it possible to remove elements on the "New Tab" page of a browser? For me, that page is located at about:newtab or edge://newtab. Those values don't appear to be allowed in uBlock filters, though.

Any ideas?

Hey everyone,

I often have to change machines due to work-related reasons. To log into the sites I use, I have to use 1Password (I literally do not know any of my passwords). First of all, do you know of a better way to do this besides installing the browser extension? That's what I currently do.

After getting logged out (for example by shutting down the machine), I try to log back in by opening the extension and trying to enter my master password. I know that what I enter is correct. I frequently log in with that password on my home machine, both in the extension and in the desktop app. However, on the foreign machine, I'm being told the password I entered is incorrect.

Hi, I'm trying to filter the list of installed languages by the LanguageTag. I'm doing this:

$filtered = Get-WinUserLanguageList | Where-Object { $_.LanguageTag -eq "en-US" }

For some reason, however, $filtered will always contain all installed languages regardless.

To avoid any XY issues here:
I just wanna enable the US International keyboard layout for the German language pack, and switch to it.
Currently, I use some combination of New-WinUserLanguageList with the target language to find the InputMethodTips. Then I try to Add that tip to the currently enabled language. This appears to add the language as a whole, not add the keyboard to the language. Then I set

Hello, I would like to make some oyakodon for me and a friend. A recipe I found recommends some Japanese ingredients that I don't believe I will find locally. These include dashi, mirin, and mitsuba (might be difficult to find some good sake too).

Can these be substituted for something more common? Online sources suggest fish or chicken broth instead of dashi, parsley instead of mitsuba and another wine instead of sake.

What do you guys think?

Obviously, I'm super happy with what ReVanced is providing. However, the support for apps like X and Twitch for example is surprisingly (and frustratingly) lacking.

How come? It can't be due to people not being motivated or the apps not being compatible, surely?
X could do with so many additions to remove recommendations and "get premium" advertisements. I mean just take a look at the "Twitter Control Panel" browser extension to get some ideas.
And while I'm happy with what we have for Twitch, there still isn't a way to listen to streams in the background with the screen turned off.

I just wish ReVanced was more useful outside of just YouTube's apps.
