My wife called me this afternoon, telling me (ok, yelling at me) that the ABS light, Traction Control light and 4x4 light all came on at once on her 2010 Compass. She added fresh fluid (not much needed), but says the brakes still make "a noise" and "they are not working", so she is using the emergency brake to slow/stop. I'm wondering if something in the ABS went wrong and the "noise" is more her than real. Anything I can check (home "mechanic" with some knowledge and ability)? What should I have a garage/dealership check? Thanks.

My wife had new tires put on her Compass Thursday. The ones that were on it were 215/60R17. The place she went to (Walmart) only had 215/65R17's, but told her they should be fine. Shortly after leaving the store, the "4X4!" warning light came on. If she pulled over and shut the car off, waited a few minutes, then turned it back on, the light would go out, then come back on about 10 minutes later. I read somewhere that larger tires could cause this condition. Anyone have any experience with this situation? Oh, the car also needs ball joints done, but I don't think that has anything to do with the light.

The Matt Bishel Classic wrestling tournament was yesterday (Saturday, Feb. 07, 2015.) At least a dozen teams, double elimination format. We finally arrived around 11:00; the tournament started either 9:00 or 9:30 am. We left about 5:30 or 6:00pm. They had some of the semi-finals in progress and were about done with the consolation semi's. My back was getting tired of those wooden bleachers and so was my wife's. (I commented to her with all the weight she has lost, there is less padding on her keister, so that is why it hurt.)

All in all, we had a good time. With all the time I have been putting in at both jobs, it was nice to have a "mental health day."
