For various reasons, I'd like to stick to Google Fit to track my runs but I'm also very annoyed by the lack of features it brings - or rather doesn't bring - with it.

  • There is no decent way to analyze your data over longer periods of time.

  • There is no decent visualization of your performance.

  • You cannot set up customized graphs.

  • ...

Hence I want to change that. But before I go all out and write my own code basis: Is there already an open source project dealing with data analysis and visualization for Google Fit?

edit: I'm a mathematician - not a programmer. Therefore I'd also appreciate any help you can offer with Google Fit's API (for Python). I've played with it a little but

The (strange?) reason that has stopped me from opening a post on my weight loss journey so far is that it has been easy.

I'm not saying that to taunt anyone, I don't want to stand in front of you and claim that I have a simple system that will make weight loss a trivial exercise, I don't want to come off as some self-important jerk who doesn't relate to the many struggles people in this community go through.

Instead I want to thank all of you and celebrate the kind of support, encouragement and information this community provides. Without you, I would likely already have quit losing weight, I would certainly never have started counting calories and at best my weight loss would have been a

I'd like to write a lisp to connect me to my favorite IRC channels via ERC. Since I don't want to store my passwords in plain text, I'd like to access the GNU pass database to retrieve my password.

Can anybody give me a hint as how to achieve this?

While I've never been athletic, I was overweight for only short periods of my life and have mostly been able to maintain a constant state of reasonable fitness. Over the last two years this has changed and - due to various reasons - I began gaining fat. It was visible, but nowhere near alarming - I thought. Considering that I don't lift weights, I always had pretty broad shoulders and a pretty bulky chest - a fact that offset the visual estimate of how much fat I actually gained. Since I did not weigh myself as a principle^1, the visual state of my body was the only measurement I had at hand.

Yesterday, for the first time in maybe 5 years (I'm 27y/o), I did step on the scale and was pretty

First of all, I'm aware that this is a frequently asked question, but given that the previous solution is no longer available, I figured that asking it again is justified.

Q. How do you make dmenu recognize shell aliases?

I currently use org-mode to track and plot my workout routines. One of the relevant tables would look something like this

Dear reddit,

I have troubles with Mozilla's Firefox browser and so far no clue what might cause it. Whether I type into some text box or just scroll an already loaded webpage, every action takes a long time (more than 500ms). This is the only program in which I experience performance issues and I'd like to have some input regarding possible causes for it - so that I can try to fix it. Please let me know which data I should provide to help you help me (:

Some data that might be of interest: I have a 2015 13" Retina Macbook Pro with an up-to-date install of Arch Linux, running i3 as my window manager. I don't have any add-ons installed for Firefox, but I use the dark arc theme.
