So my omen 16 seems to have terrible settings for the battery mode, which seems to improve a lot by switching everything to Prioritise efficient processors in QuickCPU. However, I don't know how to make this a setting that only applies to battery mode or when I'm unplugged. Is there anyway to do this without manually launching QuickCPU everytime I want to be unplugged?

Maybe I'm just not picky/experienced enough but upgrading from my 2018 Dell G3 17 (with a 1050 Ti) to the latest Omen max 16 with a 5080 and the HX 375 I'm honestly very satisfied with the device.

First I'd like to say I really like the keyboard and how compact it is, it makes it easy to type things and it's also a quiet membrane keyboard. I like how it feels and how it doesn't make noise so I could use it in public.

The device itself is very quiet and even playing the most intensive games likes MH Wilds and Dragon's Dogma 2, the fans never get loud like a jet engine. The heat is always less than 80°C for both GPU/CPU which is impressive coming from a device that would easily reach 10

Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting a refurbished Triton 17X but I've seen release reviews saying the 4090 performs more like a 4080 and it could be because of the way the BIOS handles power. Has this been improved ever since?

I'm kind of worried of getting this device because of how complicated it looks to do the usual maintenance stuff like dusting or changing thermal paste since the motherboard is reversed. How's your experience with that?

I've bought a HP Omen 17 recently and while I'm mostly happy with the device, after one month of using it I'm still irked by the constant wobble with its very unstable hinges. I would NOT recommend the Omen for anything but 100% desktop replacement,

I noticed a good computer from a seller with no review and I was thinking of checking if it sounds legit. Ask for a bill, videos of the computer running etc. I'd still be worried though when a seller has no review, how protected am I exactly in case I receive a laptop that doesn't work, for example?

Can you easily ask for a return/refund of the product? I'm worried I'd end up with a non working product and vinted would reject my appeal.

Which one of these two combinations would be better long term? I've got two offers that are pretty similar aside from the GPU/CPU difference and it's 200€ more for the 4090m.

They're both HP omen laptops with 32GB ram, 1440p screen.

I'm aiming to play at 1080p and maybe even use DLSS if needed, and I am open to undervolting. I usually try to limit my laptop so it doesn't run hotter than 90C so I can use the keyboard and the fans aren't overwhelming.

Which one of these would suit me better?

I'm looking at a secondhand MSI Stealth 18 HX AI and it seems like a beast, I'd love to get a 18 inch screen and I have a good offer for it but... I noticed it doesn't have G-sync or any form of VRR listed?

I feel like this is a huge drawback, my experience is that VRR really makes games smooth and even if the laptop is very powerful it's going to have hiccups, especially on more demanding games and VRR would really kick in for those.

However it's not like I've done extensive testing, I've also heard that a high refresh rate on the screen helps by itself. What do you think?

Sans rire je suis vraiment perdu avec les offres de laptop, j'essaie de trouver un bon 17" voire 18" vers 1500€ mais y a tellement de fois le même modèle mis en ligne avec différentes pièces sur les sites style amazon / cdiscount que je m'en sors pas et y a aucun comparateur de prix à la pcpartpicker ?

A chaque fois j'arrive pas à trouver un truc parfait, par exemple je vais avoir la même offre avec l'un qui a un meilleur SSD fourni et une autre avec plus de RAM mais jamais les deux à la fois même pour un prix supérieur.

I negligently put a plastic box made of PP5 (polyprolyprolene?) into my air fryer at 175°C for about 5min. I'm not sure if it reached that temperature or not but when I took it out it was softened and wobbly, which made me realise my mistake.

I read that PP5 should melt at 130°C but it wasn't melting, so I can only assume it didn't actually reach that temperature.

Hi guys, I'm currently the owner of a ROG ally Z1E and I'd like to upgrade to something else.

The one thing that really makes me want to get the new MSI claw models is the bigger screen and hearing they have better speakers and production quality than the ally is a huge plus too.

However, I'm kind of thorn between the two models for a two reasons.

I mostly play older games or some indie games, a few of which are quite demanding 3D games with optimization issues like My time at Sandrock or Enshrouded (the Z1E kinda struggles to run them). My problem is that there's no video showing footage of these on the 8+ so I don't know how this kind of game would run on the intel chip. Every review sa
