has anyone had an experience of getting divorced and then marrying the same person again? what was your experience and how did your families react?
im in a similar situation where i left because my husband was quite easily angered at times and he would shout at me and always be annoyed about my family, and that really took a negative toll on me. i started seeing the negatives more than the positives. i always had hoped our families would get along, but they never really did, since our engagement. but my parents agreed on the marriage to make me happy, although they felt they saw many red flags.
one red flag was as soon as i had my nikkah done, he was speaking rudely to me on the phone. i w
I am 20 right now and I got divorced last month (Khul'). Unfortunately we weren't a match at all, and I tried my best to change myself to become the perfect wife and give up everything so I could be perfect for him, like wearing minimal make up or wearing the most abayas (as he said they would show slight curves when id stand straight). It just didn't work and I left due to resentment and I didn't want to do kufr and disrespect his wishes.
In the past, I haven't been the best Muslim. I learnt Islam myself, though I was born Muslim. I started wearing praying regularly at 16 and then wore hijab at 18 and I've always been looking for marriage. Before 16 I was a terrible Muslim, seeking for att
Hello everyone, sorry for the extremely long story but I'd love some advice.
I'm 20 and I asked my husband (22) for a divorce a couple of weeks ago. For a while, I felt that we kept arguing over the tiniest of things, mostly him initiating these arguments. To him, it was easy to forget, but for me, I started resenting marriage even more. Though I'd forget what we'd even argue about, all I knew is that I had resentment in my heart. I started to get panicky on many things, hoping that I'd do them correctly so I wouldn't get told off.
It'd be on basic things like forgetting to bring coins for the dryer, or wearing certain clothing that'd would accentuate my features (what I'd wear is a
I just want to understand the issues women currently face in ther marriages
Im 22 and my husband is 23, we have argued basically since the day we met. But then we would get over it and move on. We got married 1 year after knowing each other, and I kept persuading myself that the arguments would stop once we got married. Now it's only worse. Our families disagree on everything, we disagree in everything, when he speaks to me rudely i have a tone back and apparently that means im the only one being rude. He has even raised his voice on his own dad in the past which is something I ignored, but he did that to my dad too.
He blames my dad saying that my dad raised his voice too. We are both students and married and before marriage we agreed we would always have our own
Summary: We fought, I left for my parents and took my saved cash, he said I didnt trust him with my cash, so he doesn't trust me with a house key. What do I do?
We had a big fight a couple of weeks ago, and I left the house because he was shouting and swearing. I left the house with my clothes and a load of cash I had saved, just in case he wanted to take it.
I stayed at my parents for a week, and I came back and we have reconciled. I left because usually when my husband shouts and swears, i just deal with it because I never wanted to get my family involved and i didn't know who else to tell.
Anyway, I am back now, and after having been away for a week, i was able to realise that my hus
