I recently figured out that if I sniff really big through my nose, I can taste something gross from my nasal passage or throat, etc. It smells like how I remember, my baby teeth smelling when you put them in the little containers 🤮

I’ve tried brushing my teeth, brushing, my soft palette, brushing my tongue, and it help a little but doesn’t solve the issue. I also don’t have any tonsils so I don’t think it could be tonsil stones.

It’s so weird to be breathing in and yet being able to smell/taste something from the opposite direction.

Any advice? I have a pretty good routine, brush at wake-up and clean invisaline, and brush and floss at bedtime. Recently, I’ve been brushing once midday a

Hi! Are there prompts to finding the architect’s tissues and organs? Somehow found the skeleton. But it’s been days since I heard anything, found the fabricator building but still don’t have the parts. Do I just need to get to coordinates from the wiki or is there a trigger for the story?

Also have turned off the satellite thing and been to the phi robotics island thing.

Hi all this is the annual post. In honor of the first snowfall of the season I remind you that even if it’s snowing like crazy or it’s -25C with wind chill YOU HAVE CLASS. It is extremely unlikely for the university itself to cancel classes and if it does, it does not do it retroactively. Meaning you still need to go to classes up until you get an email saying you don’t have to go anymore. Occasionally professors will email the class saying let’s do it virtual or let’s skip today but don’t count on it.

Advice for cold times: Layyyer Don’t forget about your legs: full pants maybe two Some of the buildings are really hot because the heat comes from the steam tunnels. If you want to have room

How can I help headstart communities?

Advice needed :karma:(Anyone can comment) :karma:

I’m a student in ECE and the shutdown has me worried for people in the community who benefit from headstart. I’m in Illinois so at least there’s stronger funding here through the state but it’s still not ideal. Any suggestions of how I as an individual can help?

I’m ECE and bilingual endorsement major in IL. My professors teach recommended teaching practices. Many of them are ridiculously time-consuming and unrealistic for a teacher to actually do within working hours. And they don’t even replicate the teaching methods within the classroom. For example, some of my classmates were not meeting expectations in their writing. Instead of collaborating with us on what we need to improve. She held a meeting without us present and came up with a completely useless solution. She also has only her TA in the classroom and she shows up on very rare occasions to give small presentations. Most recently a student laughed early and she lectured the class on how it

I don’t have one but since a person gives you your name. If you have a falling out with that person or they pick a trait that you’re really self conscious about, can you just pretend like you don’t have a sign name? Or like in a less clear situation: you just like collecting sign names so you can pick your favorite from the bunch. Just trying to better understand the nuances in the culture around sign names

Hello! I'm looking into getting a bilingual endorsement in Spanish in the state of Illinois. I can't find what "level" of Spanish I should be able to speak/understand in order to pass the language test. I feel confident with my Spanish but as a second language learner its hard to gauge. I cant find any guidelines for a CEFR or ACTFL score requirement. Would the AAPL test be easier or harder than the endorsement test?

So I lost my standard charger a few years back and I just would charge with my phone USBC charger. I stopped using it for about 6months and now that I'm back it won't charge more than 1%. I get from 0 power to the red battery screen but no farther. I just tried plugging it into my laptop 100w charger and its actually working! but I'm worried that using such a high watt charger will kill the battery. any advice?

Yes it’s cold. Yes you have to go to class. No the chancellor will not cancel classes until it doesn’t matter anymore.

Keep an eye on your email if your profs are nice, in truly inclement weather they will cancel but don’t expect it. Cold usually doesn’t count, it must be a blizzard or the entire ground is covered in ice. Even then expect classes to continue as normal until you get an email saying otherwise.

Stay warm out there! Busses will be crowded so plan ahead, follow bus etiquette, be kind to the drivers and don’t have your back take up a second seat
