Summary: Astronaut adrift in space, I think I saw it in a school textbook. I couldn't find anything online, I need help.

Good evening, everyone. I'm here to ask for help finding a text that I remember reading in my childhood, but which I haven't been able to find despite many efforts.

For starters, I am Brazilian. I'm asking for help in English too because im desperate and maybe this text is originally in English so who knows. These things always get far more easily in English

What do I remember?

The text was in Portuguese, a science fiction short story about a nameless astronaut who gets lost adrift in space, under observation from Earth.

He wasn't in a spaceship, but adrift as if

so, i was organizing some playlists on youtube and, upon seeing multiple indie animated shorts there, a memory struck me. There was this (i think it was spanish? like, if i'm not mistaken the audio was in spanish but it had english subtitles) short i watched once about two young boys that were best friends and that wanted to join a school for knights. One of the kids (the main character's best friend) was the child of some famous knight and felt a lot of pressure upon him. It has scenes of them listening to stories, studying and sparring together. They eventually grow up and grow apart at about the middle of the short, though i don't perfectly remember the reason. The story had a bittersweet

One of the kids (the main character's best friend) was the child of some famous knight and felt a lot of pressure upon him if i remember correctly. It has scenes of them studying and sparring together. They might have eventually grown apart in the middle of the short. The story had a bittersweet end, where the two characters die together in a battlefield and are together again in a heaven-like pla
