Just started, and I'm on the restricted area quest. I've got the planet, but can't find anything. Google tells me to "buy a beacon", but that isn't getting me anywhere. Help?

When people say they want "medicare for all", do they mean that literally? Is it a code phrase for some sort of single payer, universal healthcare? Or do they just want to expand medicare to cover everyone? Because from what I understand, medicare is a bureaucratic mess. I'd think it would make much more sense to come up with something from scratch rather than push that on everyone.

I thought I'd give the game a try, and tried to install it over the weekend. After two days of googling solutions, tweaking settings, and finally having it fail with a non-helpful error after hours of downloading I gave up.

What I want to know is, how typical is this? Did I just have super bad luck, or is the game just really not ready for prime time yet? Not even being able to install did not leave a good first impression.

Of late, I'm seeing an increase in the number of responses with bold text. Like, no one had it last year, now it's kinda common. Are those all AI/bot responses? Is any human actually choosing to use bold text, as an editorial choice?

So, let's say you shave your head, leaving some hair around the edges. What's maintenance like after that? How often do you need to shave to stay smooth, and how tricky is it to keep a neat edge if you left some hair behind?

I'm working on getting all the challenges, and I need to get a concussion a bunch of time. I've seen some things saying that you get a concussion half the time you get stunned. If I have level 5 Pain Tolerance, no chance to get stunned, does that mean I can't get a concussion at all?

Does anyone know what sort of deal Markiplier made with Szymanski to make the movie? Was Szymanski paid up front, does he get a cut of the profits? Or did he just say "go for it, it'll help game sales"? I know they collaborated, but I can't find anything about the financial aspects.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but how do I make and/or get clothing in 2.5? I got driven out of the snow biome and would like to get back there. I see no way to make clothes, and the traders don't seem to sell any. Is it a random drop?

I was recently poking around a wildlife sanctuary, and it had a bunch of WW2 bunkers in it. You can see pics here: https://thesouthern.com/news/local/wwii-bunkers-still-in-use-at-crab-orchard-refuge/article_f6b44da7-ed85-5b02-a128-3cbbd4897300.html

Each bunker had a sort of flap on the door, the second pic shows it pretty well. I can not figure out what they were for. The slot was about 2 feet by 2 inches, so too small to pass anything of interest. It had a counter weight so it was closed by default, and there was no way to open it from the inside. When o

Near the beginning of the movie, just before the "make way" song, two villagers throw a rug over a line. It shows a short, fat guy with a beard and a really tall, skinny guy. I feel like that has to be some sort of reference or easter egg. Anyone have any insights?

This one's for the motor heads. In the Mad Max apocalypses, does it actually make sense that they'd fight over gasoline? My understanding is that it's pretty easy to convert a car to run on almost any flammable liquid. I'd think plastic or rubber parts, or even spark plugs, would be what you'd want to hoard.

I know it's just a movie, asking out of curiosity.

I was wondering if there's any way to break pictures without all the noise? Breaking glass really sets the screamers off. I've just been using an axe, is there some tool or method that's more quiet?

Let's say we have an apocalypse, but things where I am are mostly intact. But the power grid is down, the local power stations destroyed. If my neighbors and I all had solar panels on our roofs, could we cut the power lines going other places and just have our own little power gird? Only during daylight, of course, but better than nothing. If not, why not?

When I was a kid, way back when, we took typing classes in school. On actual typewriters. Do they still teach typing? Or is it just expected that kids will have picked it up from using their keyboards at home?
