I know, I know, I'm splitting hairs here and it almost certainly does not matter. But as I work through the checklist I'm wondering, do my "three other fruit servings" NEED to be non-berries? I like berries and almost always surpass 1 serving, but that doesn't always leave enough room / desire / money for three other fruits.
For example: I would say I probably am getting around 3 berry servings and one or two other fruits per day (often multiple servings of those other fruits. Usually apples and bananas). Does it matter that I am not having berries and three separate, different fruits?
Same question can be extrapolated to the veggie categories, where cruciferous veg and leafy greens spil
Assuming one is not in digestive distress, are there any negative health implications for eating an extremely high fibre diet?

Yes, another yoga mat question. But this hasn't been asked for a few years in this subreddit and, as we know, manufacturing quality can change dramatically over the course of a year or two!
I know I want a Manduka pro-series, but I'm stuck on whether to get a pro or a prolite. For the most part I will be leaving my mat at the Shala (where my current, 15 year old Manduka pro lives. That mat will become my home mat), but I will need to haul it home, a 15 minute walk, once or twice a month for cleaning. Do you find there to be a big difference between the Pro vs. the Pro-lite when you are practicing on it? Which do you prefer for a daily ashtanga practice?
As an add on, I anticipate using a t
I work in corporate big law as a law clerk (paralegal in the US). I love my job. I think the work is interesting, I'm good at it, my work life balance is pretty good and the schedule is generally pretty flexible. My department is unique within the firm because we are allowed to work fully remotely whereas all other departments are on a hybrid model.
One of the junior paralegals (6-7 months with the firm? ) is absolutely taking advantage of this. She is never online, misses meetings or shows up in pyjamas to calls where everyone else is in a suit. Her work doesn't get done, and when it does it's a laughably bad, lazy effort. She has shown zero improvement since getting hired, in fact, she
32F with vague hopes to buy a condo in the coming 1-2 years for somewhere around $400k (provided the market stays somewhat the same). On a whim, I opened my FHSA with EQ Bank and contributed 5k that was otherwise just sitting in my HISA, and now I'm just a bit nervous about what happens if I don't buy a home in the next 15 years / ever.
I understand that it just gets rolled into my RRSP - but that means it won't be freely available to me if I wanted to, say, retire early or take a few months off to travel. Or, heck, what if I ended up buying a home 16 years after opening?! Am I overthinking things, or would I have been better off leaving that money in a HISA? (note: TFSA is already maxed a
Does anyone know of a yoga / fitness studio, retail store, anywhere that sells Manduka PROs? I am trying to avoid purchasing online, but I will if I must. Thank you for any guidance you may be able to provide, my fellow Ottawa yogis!
For as long as I can remember I have had concerningly low iron levels. The only iron supplement that doesnt ruin my digestion seems to be the MegaFood one, but I find that it makes me super sleepy. So sleepy that it is hard to work or go to yoga class or just live life more generally!!
Is this normal? Is there anything that helps resolve this side effect and is there any chance it might just go away on its own?!
Small woman with a small face here. I've been eyeing the Justin's for some time now and they're currently on sale for a great price. I tried them on once and remember liking them, but I may have been influenced by the opinions of the company I had with me (I honestly cannot remember as it was a year ago). I don't have an easy way to try them on again before the sale is over.
I'm about to follow through with the online order, but I just want to quickly get a sense from the wider sunglasses community; these frames are unisex, right? I enjoy looking feminine and don't want my sunglasses to look too masculine on my face!
