I helped move a heavy package a short distance, PAX tried to tip me $40 on the spot, but her phone said $20 max tip.
She had no cash. No Zelle/apps. I told her she can contact support. What are the odds support will make it quick and easy for her?
The trick is, when the driver finally reaches your destination, you simply cancel the ride in your app! You pay significantly less, and the surge fee is dropped entirely!
Yes, the downside is that the driver no longer receives the full proper fare, only a cancel fee, and they lose their surge bonus… but don’t worry, if the driver message support about this, support will take your side! This discount trick is fine by Uber!
Happy savings!

My passenger was a nice elderly woman. It was her first time using Uber, and she asked for my help to give me a tip. So I ended the ride, and on her phone the rate / tip driver screen popped up. She selected 20%… we said our goodbyes and yet there’s no tip.
Did she need to confirm something? I’ve never used the passenger app before.
Alex Jones was right about chemicals in the water turning freaking frogs gay.
