550 player shard. Was able to:

-Claim a ship

-Retrieve ship from hangar

-load cargo into ship

-exit hangar

-land at another hangar

-deliver cargo to complete contract

Hurray! More of this please CIG. When things go right it's easy to see the potential of this game.

How long this lasts for remains to be seen but we seem to be trending in the right direction

First off I'm very new to SC even though backed a while ago (decent PC finally yahoo!)

From some of the stories I have been reading, it seems like losing possession of your ship is unbelievably wide-open.

"I left my shields down", "someone walked in behind me" etc etc

A real life comparison would be my car just turning off and driving if someone smashed the window and sat in the seat.

It's a fucking spaceship I'm shocked that there isn't some biometric verification or seemingly any security system at all.

Am I wrong?

I could foresee a fun gameplay mechanic involving hacking a ship to gain control in the future

So just wanted to write an update:

The Asus ROG G513Q laptop can definitely handle 64gb of RAM.

The official info say 32gb max but the Corsair website lists 64gb as compatible.

I took a chance and voila! 64gb RAM up and running, no hassle, auto tuned right to 3200mt/s.

Went with these bad boys that I saved 15% on https://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX00117548

So uh.... Ok I had an OLD copy of SC installed gathering dust (before new launcher)

Downloaded new launcher, game installed a fresh copy of HOTFIX 4.0, without any indication I had a previous version of SC installed which I found odd

In New Babbage Commons, I crashed to black screen with DisplayInfo still on screen and a cursor.

Alt+F4 back to launcher, HOTFIX is no longer selectable only 3 or 4 Preview. Tried to install 4 Preview and no room with 85gb space left

I had to manually delete TWO StarCitizen folders (140gb each) and am currently redownloading game.

🤷‍♀️

SPOILERS

At the end of Taxi Driver, Travis makes a recovery, reunites Iris with her parents and gets one over on Betsy.

I can't help but feel put off by the ending - Travis isn't a good person, doesn't make good choices yet in the end is a hero. It just doesn't feel right.

However, if you view the final 3 minutes as the hallucinations of a dying man, a desperate man trying to convince himself that he was a righteous warrior, the ending no longer seems out of place.

Do y'all think there are enough ships in StarCitizen yet?

I say yes.

Hi there! I'm about to upgrade the RAM in my otherwise amazing laptop.

Would love some confirmation that this laptop can handle 64gb RAM.

The only info I can find is several years old and doesn't have much supporting evidence.

Thanks!

So I'm pretty new to this.

CPU-Z told me my RAM is running at a frequency of 1600 (1595). So because of RAM shenanigans I am indeed set to 3200mhz, correct?

It's been 84 years...
