Absolute shot in the dark here, but my MPF ship is anchored in Saipan and we're without a FEDLOG CD because home base didn't think to send us one. It's really becoming a pain in the ass since we're 15 hours ahead of Jacksonville and we have no reliable internet at anchor.

If someone could burn a copy or send us a spare CD version of the latest FEDLOG, my boss and I would be eternally grateful. Bonus points if it's the version of FEDLOG that can switch between branches for Marine supply parts as this ship is full of that shit.

I can provide necessary proof/authorized use, shipping compensation, some extra for your time, and I'll give you a personal tour of this old gal when we pull into N

I'm contracting with the Marines and will be heading to a boat in Guam within the next two weeks. I'm shipping my breakables, toiletries, extra gear, and snacks in my hardside suitcase, but I'm in need of a seabag for my clothes and boots. I've tried surplus stores in Jax and the seabags are all sorts of fucked up. Amazon has cheap Chinesium knockoffs that aren't worth it.

I have a CAC and base access, but only I only rate Exchange privileges overseas, meaning I can't buy a seabag myself. I got turned away the other day at the checkout on the NAS NEX.

If someone would be so kind as to meet up with me at NAS Jax or Mayport, I'll give you the cash if you could run inside and pick one up fo

Reposting, third time's a charm?

Finally got a new job after more than a year of unemployment. The job is in a US territory overseas but initial training is out of Florida, where I will be heading to for three months on the 15th. Naturally, proof of job offer, travel arrangements, and pay rate will be provided to the lender, along with additional proof upon request within the rules of the subreddit.

Offering a high percentage return because I've exhausted all my other options and won't be able to donate enough plasma before I have to leave.

Funds will be used to:

  • Buy work boots

  • Public transportation to the airport

  • Groceries until my first pay day when I receive my per diem

Sup motivators,

I got a job working with the finest crayon eaters on earth and, as such, I need to do Cyber Awareness before I can get my CAC. Problem is, I'm traveling right now and won't be home for a week and didn't bring a laptop.

Does anyone know if it's possible to complete the training on MarineNet on mobile?

I'm happily divorced from the rails these days, but I have a buddy who was invited to an interview for an assistant conductor position next week. He asked me for details, but I was UP and later Metra so I couldn't answer specifics and all the info I found through a search here and on /railroading is outdated.

I know they work zones, so I was able to get that out of him. He's interviewing for zone 8 in Chicago, which works west out of Chicago apparently. These are his questions (and some I've thrown in so I can answer any follow ups). Appreciate any insight y'all can provide.

  1. How busy is the Chicago terminal right now? He's applied before and apparently this is the second or third time

I was having a few adult beverages with a buddy last weekend and we got into a discussion regarding the former vs. ex meaning, with "former" being reserved for those players or staff that left gracefully and "ex-" being reserved for those leaving in disgrace or scandal.

Aside from the obvious over the last few years, who would be some good examples of former and ex-Blackhawks and why?
