Any thoughts on this article by Helen Rollins?

https://www.sublationmag.com/post/on-the-pitfalls-of-state-sponsored-trickle-down-economics

Has anyone seen Helen's films? They are all Lacanian short films exploring Desire and Lacanian ideas of subjectivity. I think Making Love and Jamiaca are worth a watch.

In the article - she argues that the way the film industry takes advantage of its workers and freelancers needs a psychoanalytic reading. I think its super important?

This week on Psy-Fi, radical theologian Peter Rollins joined us for some serious talk about the failures of atheism and the Christian history of psychoanalytic thinking!

I don't know anything about religion myself and would be interested to hear people's thoughts. I found myself pretty much convinced by what Peter said, though what I wish I'd asked was what the difference is between agreeing with the arguments and belief.

I did this interview about my new Pluto Press book Dream Lovers - which came out this month. It is about sexbots, smart condoms, VR pornography, AI and VR partners, etc. But it is mostly about how psychoanalysis is needed to understand the way desire is changed by contemporary technology and its inherent connections with capitalism. I don't know if people are interested in Lacanian psychoanalysis in this way here? To me, its as important as a tool to understand capitalism and oppose it as it is as a clinical method.

I was in Belfast this week with Jamieson Webster - talking about toxic masculinity, sexual abuse, childhood sexuality and what it means to be psychoanalytic about sex. I thought she was extremely interesting. What do people think? It seems to me that there is a need to be critical of the discourse around sex and sexuality - including sexual abuse - but that this often runs into problems pretty quickly. Jamieson does a really good job of treating it bravely but also with subtlety.

I am new to the thread. I am interviewing a different psychoanalyst every Friday and would really like some suggestions of who I might interview in future? I really only know Lacanians myself, so I would particular
