I-130 pending, I-485 closed. Anyone in similar situation?

I-130 & I-485 (Family/Adjustment of status)

Hi everyone,

I wanted to see if anyone has been in a similar situation.

My wife is currently in removal proceedings, and after her Master Hearing, USCIS administratively closed her I-485 because they no longer have jurisdiction while EOIR has the case. The I-130, however, is still pending.

For additional context:
We already completed our marriage interview with USCIS. At the end of the interview, the officer mentioned that we would likely receive an RFE because we didn’t bring joint insurance and had limited bank statements at the time. Before any RFE was issued, my wife was detained and placed into removal proceedings, and shortly after that the I-485 was administratively closed.

USCIS AOS Interview - San Diego & ICE

I-130 & I-485 (Family/Adjustment of status)

If your comment is going to be negative, racist, or deliberately ignorant, don’t bother to comment. It adds nothing, and I’m sharing my experience to help others.

  • She originally entered the U.S. on a J-1 visa.

  • Before her J-1 status ended, you filed a Change of Status (COS) to B-2.

  • USCIS approved that COS and issued an I-94 showing B-2 status valid

  • She remained in the U.S. the entire time — no departures.

  • Married

  • You filed I-130 + I-485

  • Once USCIS accepted the filing and issued receipts in early July 2025, she was in pending AOS status.

  • She now has a C09 EAD (10/24/2025–10/23/2030).

Does the Ioniq 5n have smart Parking Assist? I've seen YouTube videos of the car having one and my key fob does not have the buttons. I also know we dont have extra features like HUD compared to Canadian/Asian models.

Just wondering if its possible inside the car or we just dont have this feature. Thanks in advance

My spouse and I have a marriage-based AOS interview coming up in San Diego. She originally entered on a J-1, later changed status to B-2, and her B-2 expired before we filed the I-485, so she does have a period of overstay.

We’ve been living together, have a real marriage, and we’ve prepared all our evidence, but I’ve been reading some recent posts about detentions at interviews and wanted to hear from others who have gone through a similar timeline.

Any recent experiences from people in the San Diego field office with J-1 → B-2 → overstay situations? I honestly dont know what to do
