Every year we can a lot of red sauce and salsa as a family. Nonna sold her house and moved into a small lake house. She doesn't have room to host anymore so she comes to our places with food. She had a neighbor put a metal shelf directly over her oven like only 2 inch clearance. I just found out she's kept her canned salsa for 10 months right over the stove top she uses 2-3 times a day and she uses her oven 2-3 times a day sometimes all day long making sauce or roasts because she refuses to own a microwave. I felt the bottom of the shelf and it was HOT. I felt the bottom if the jars and they were HOT. I voiced concerns and she says it's fine and common storage in apts in nyc.

Background: Someone from NJ booked me on X for Independence Day after my family cookout. He screened, sent a retainer, and prebooked a 3hr booking 3 weeks ago. His story was he was driving to Pittsburgh to be there the 1st- 4th then wanted to see me on his drive home detour to see Niagara Falls the 5th. His 4 references were really great from really professional mid to high end Ladies.

I bought a long time abandoned home that had squatters 5 years ago and 3 years ago. Police removed them and they left an almost full propane tank outside in the snow and all hooked up to a camping Webber grill for years.

So my yearly winter regular client booked me tomorrow afternoon, but then they announced the blizzard. He asked to move our booking to tonight instead to beat the blizzard. He wanted to add on a social date first with a cocktail and appetizers. He asked me to pick our drinks so I picked a flaming cocktail. He was enthralled by it then quickly picked it up to take a drink WHILE IT WAS ON FIRE 🔥 😲 . I was like "NOOOOO! YOU'LL GET BURNT!" so he said "omg!" and put the drink down spilling it a little which made the bar have flames on it that I quickly put out with the metal shacker there because it was embarrassing 😳. Just a heads up that hotels are really raising prices this week and booking any and every room right now no matter the condition or quality and selling out so you can't get your room changed for maintenance issues 🤦‍♂️.

I'm in a 4 star hotel with a broken hot tub heater and no hot water plus fully booked roster last night and this morning 😮‍💨.

I really need advice on the best enrichment and fun gifts I can buy for my new 7yo cousin. She was rescued from a very neglectful home with no care or help so we want her to have everything she wants and needs.

The only thing she truly clung to and cared about is a rabbit's foot that's almost bald. The sec I met her she became enamored with my Disney coach wristlet that I just flat out gave her. Now she puts her rabbit's foot in it and takes it everywhere. I bought her a Disney backpack thinking she'd love it too, but she couldn't care less 😅.
