Never really bothered to look much into it, but does Chch have much of a prog metal/rock scene? Any original bands? Any cover bands? Anyone regularly playing live?
For reference, my tastes revolve around Devin Townsend, Haken, Anathema, Opeth, Nightwish (symphonic metal), Gazpacho (art rock), Tool, Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd, Spock's Beard, Dream Theater, etc.

Been a thing for a while. Are they supposed to yield anything? As they only give 50xp. Survival tool, mining laser, micro laser drill all yield nothing.
The blue prometheum crystals work fine, and the 'F' activated pentaxid crystals (flat blue and pointy purple) also work (although it'd be nice if they yielded pentaxid when mined rather than only when activated using 'F').

Is there such a mod?
The game already shows production/consumption on the right bar, but only if I hover the mouse over each resource type. Meanwhile the same tab shows total stored of each resource right there on the UI. Frankly, I consider my production/consumption (estimates) to be more important most of the time, causing me to hover my mouse over resource types incessantly.
Similarly, the food window shows a total food production/consumption estimate, while it'd be super useful to have that visible on the main UI as well (and not just 'x days of food' estimate).

No idea why. Had a single pass then diverted. A plane took off just before it no problem, and a plane landed just after it no problem. Anyone know the gossip?

I have a couple of Globdien Pastures rolling on my new map, and they're fully staffed by Amevias, yet it's showing a Skill value of 0.6 (Amevias are supposed to be 120%).
Now, it is a cold map so I was expecting some penalty, but wouldn't that penalty be shown somewhere else and not under Skill? Or am I missing something?

I didn't realise it until now but I've really missed the intrusive droning of a circling police helicopter at random hours of the night. Really brings back that nostalgic feeling of interrupted sleep and wondering what crime has been commited...

Anyone know the current status of the bicycle track at Scruttons Road crossing? KiwiRail were trying to close it several months ago to do upgrades to the rail crossing in what appeared to essentially be an extortion attempt to get more government funding.
Last I went that way (November?) they had installed gates intended to close it off, but then there were protests and stuff over how ridiculous and unnecessary it was to close the cycle path (since it doesn't actually cross the railway track, instead running parallel to it).
So before I walk all the way down there only to discover that it is closed, anyone know if it is or not?

I never really pay much attention to prices, I just go to my local (Moorhouse) and pay whatever the going price is, but I decided to take a look at the differences around town:
- Moorhouse 18.49
- Riccarton 17.89
- Wainoni 16.99
- Papanui 17.99
- Hornby 15.99
- Rangiora 15.69
Oh boy am I taking it in the rear if I buy mince at Moorhouse. Yes, yes. Each store is independent, but come on...
Riccarton is also advertised as "Extra low". Wow. Yet Hornby is "Extra low" at $1.90 less per kg, 7km away.
