Looking for bike trails

Hawai'i (Big Island)

Hi everyone,

I'll be visiting Kona for many days and I'm looking for light trails to ride my bike. I'm not looking for downhill trails but rather gravel or packed sand trails that are often shared with hikers.

Bonus points for anything rather long (10+ miles). Ideally in Kona but I could for up to an hour if needed. Mahalo!

Green card US resident moving back to Canada.

Are there any tax advantage in performing an in-kind transfer instead of selling everything here and doing a wire transfer?

I'd like to also hear stories about IRA/401k accounts and if you kept them in the US or were able to take them out. Any challenges/benefits?

Politics aside, I'm hesitant to leave everything here while actively living in a different country as I would lose my green card status. FYI I'm also 1 year away from being able to get citizenship through naturalization.

Happy to hear your story if you had a similar experience!

It seems like getting SMS authentication is problematic and/or not always consistent (ex: Google voice accounts are not always accepted)

Is anyone using a bank or brokerage account that can be protected by a USB authentication token? (Like yubikey)

Let me know how it's working for you and if you recommend the bank/brokerage? Thx!

Here's a list of domains I think about dropping unless you all believe I'm crazy to do so :) I was hoping to build travel/affiliate sites but I moved on with other projects.

  • flytosf.com
  • sfospa.com
  • sfoyoga.com
  • sfostay.com
  • gaykobe.com
  • gaysfo.com
  • gotosfo.com
  • toursfo.com

I believe that "SFO" is well known amongst travel for the San Francisco airport but most visitors don't know that. Any thoughts?

I frequently travel between Osaka and Tokyo and I have a "JR West" credit card which allows me to reserve tickets online via e5489 (no discount whatsoever). This works fine when going "to Tokyo" but I can't reserve tickets to go "to Osaka". The website clearly warns me that I can't pickup tickets in Tokyo. There's another site (expy.jp) but it only allows to book major hubs, but you can't combine/switch from "shinkansen" to "limited express".

I'm sure there's a better way? Should I get a "JR East" credit card as well? Seems really inefficient. I'm not really concerned about the cost, so buying 6-packs isn't really appealing to me. I just want to reserve a seat.

Any suggestions?
