Just updated to iOS app version 4.59.0.21 and am finding when trying to open the push notifications menu of my Reolink NVR it now takes ten seconds to open.

I know it seems trivial complaining about ten seconds but I open this menu at least five times a day to switch off push for certain cameras when working in the yard or driveway for example.

Before the update menu opened near instantly, I even deleted the app & reinstalled it but it made no difference.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Just updated my NVR firmware & now the gear icon that was in the top right corner next to the NVR name has been removed.

Its used to look like this.

If I revert back to the previous firmware the gear icon returns to its previous location so must be a change by Reolink.

I use the settings menu everyday to switch of push notifications when I am out in the garden & such so it was in a very convenient location before this change.

I guess there is no setting to switch it back on?

Like most after they install their system they quickly realize there is no way you a reading vehicle license/number plates with standard CCTV cameras at night.

There has also been a few times in the three years since I installed my system that having the plate of a vehicle would have been very useful so I started to research into plate reading cameras & how they work.

I did not want to go down the road of purchasing a dedicated ALPR camera and trying to integrate it into my Reolink system nor was I keen on the prices :)

So when a RLC-823S2 appeared for sale on eBay at just over $100 I decided to take the risk & buy one to see if I could use the 16X zoom to my advantage to read plates.

Just got my hands on a RLC-823S2 and after having a search on this sub I see that the RLC-823S2 won't auto zoom when tracking but I can't find an answer if it should auto focus?

I understand that there is no auto zoom as it takes to long and am guessing the same goes for auto focus?

Just wanted to confirm if this was the case.

Just updated my iOS app to 4.54.0.16 and you can now whilst viewing a detection even uncheck any applied event filters and the player will switch to your timer recording allowing you to view past where the detected event would have ended.

I would have made less of a fuss about it if you had just said that we are working on it and its going to be at least six months before it will be back instead of saying it's never coming back.

I am just happy we have the ability back! Heads up for those of you who also missed this feature!

Noticed that the Duo 3V PoE was listed in the download center with firmware version 3.0.0.4669_2503101441 which I have downloaded and installed.

The change note said smart event detection had been added, cannot see any settings for virtual fence, zone intrusion or zone linger in the detection settings menu.

But I can see those options in the event type menu when playing back recordings.

Just checked the download center again and now it looks like the firmware has been removed?

My NVR, client & app are all up to date.

Ever since Reolink implemented the "Event Menu" to select which A.I detection filters you want to apply for the iOS app we have lost the ability to easily carry on viewing past where a A.I detection recording ends.

This is very useful as we all know detected events can end to early or stop if a person stands still for example.

Before this update you could whilst viewing an A.I detection for example a person detection deselect the person filter and the video player would automatically switch to your 24/7 timer recording allowing you to carry on viewing.

I contacted Reolink support straight away after they pushed this update and explained that this functionality really needs to return.

Thinking of purchasing a Reolink doorbell, will probably run a cable for PoE but if I buy the Wi-Fi version does it still have an Ethernet port so I can use it just like the PoE version?

I have two Duo 3V's setup in different locations, both have issues switching between black & White or colour modes.

At dawn or dusk they switch back and forth between black & white or colour before they stop, no matter where I set the black & white and colour switching threshold they still exhibit the same behaviour.

Just updated to iOS app version 4.52.0.13 and now when playing back footage in Fluent at 8x speed the video is choppy and you only see a frame a second so you cannot see all the footage.

Before you could playback footage at 8x in Fluent and see every frame making is great for quickly reviewing footage.

So now with the iOS app we can't deselect all the event filters whilst viewing an AI detection and have the video player switch to your Timer recording allowing you to view past where the AI detection recording would have ended, this was removed months ago now with no feedback on if it will return.

Just downloaded the latest iOS app update and from my testing you still cannot deselect all the filters in the event menu which then switched the player to your Timer recording allowing you to carry on viewing beyond where the detection recording would have ended.

You could do this before the "Event Menu" was added over a month ago by just taping the filer/folder icon in the bottom left corner whilst the detection was playing or paused.

Can Android users also confirm that this is still possible in the Android app?

Please Reolink return this functionality!!!

Just setup a Duo 2V and have it recording detections to an SD card and am finding that it is recording three minutes before the actual detection.

This makes reviewing the detections very long winded, I turned off pre motion recording but it made no difference.

Is this normal when recording to an SD card?

All my other cameras are connected to my NVR and you have around 5 seconds recorded before the actual detection.
