I’m building a cabinet for two 3D Printers (Flashforge) to sit on top of, with filament storage inside. Basically a 4 sided box made from 1.5” solid wood, but I’m also putting a sort of butcher block called baubuche on top of it for added weight to help absorb vibration.

Would there be any benefit to adding in a sheet of 2-3mm neoprene between the hardwood cabinet body, and the top?

I’m looking for my next EV as my Kia EV6 is in the shop with the dreaded ICCU failure (alternator-esque issue that plagues the ‘22 model).

I drive on average 31,000 miles a year with 75% being highway / rural highway, so I’m looking at the community for problems beyond general wear and tear for someone who is putting more than a little window time in!
