If you've never had the pleasure of being a sitting cat, Slowing Hex shuts down three of Calico's four abilities. The leap, ava, and even the ult (for some reason).

Meanwhile, it only shuts down Apollo's Flawless Advance (3) and Itani Lo Sahn (4). This is despite the fact that Disengaging Sigil has a major movement component with the "leap backwards", and a successful Riposte results in a "dash forward".

Is there an internal consistency here that I'm missing? What actually defines a movement-based item or ability?

Greetings horizon scanners and modern magicians, Jake Fitz here to review the best new cEDH cards from Modern Horizons 3.

This is far and away the most stacked set I’ve ever reviewed for cEDH. It’s genuinely overwhelming just how many interesting new cards there are, even if there aren’t any staples on par with previous Modern Horizon sets like [[Esper Sentinel]] and [[Ranger-Captain of Eos]].

I wasn’t able to cover everything, but you’d better believe I almost broke my fingers trying. I think [[Nadu, Winged Wisdom]] is going to be a powerhouse cEDH deck, I’m hoping Ashling, Flame Dancer]] figures out a way to make it, an

Howdy partners, Jake FitzSimons here to commit crimes in a cowboy hat. That, and review the best cEDH cards Outlaws of Thunder Junction.

This is the most excited I've been for a set in a hot minute. MKM wasn't exciting for the competitive side of things and Fallout was a bit of a flop, so a set with some genuine staples really puts some yee in my haw.

I think Aven Interrupter, Molten Duplication, and High Noon are the strongest cards from the set and Satoru and Stella Lee are the most interesting. What are your picks?
