I've got a 4080 and would love to know how it stacks up.

Happy to negotiate pricing if you're buying more than one item. Everything confirmed working well without any issues.

I've got a fair bit of compute and a few dozen terabytes of storage on my home lab. With all the insanity of data being wiped by the US Gov I want to put it all to good use. What initiatives and tools are out there right now that I can join to help?

My boss wants to send me to a conference or two this year. Initially I suggested MS Ignite but the timing didn't work out. What are some other conferences that would be of value to a devsevops engineer with a background leaning harder on the ops side than the others?

Laptop is running endeavouros, with minimal partitioning configured on a single nvme. I did some work a while back to migrate myself over to systemd booting from grub and while successful, out of nowhere I hit a wall where I'm seeing an error stating that it's failing to mount /boot/efi

I tried to look at journalctl -xb but there was just too much to parse to make sense of what was going on. I'd love some ideas on what to do next.

I currently have a rtx 4080 and whole things are fine, I've been hearing that the AMD side of the fence is better for Linux gaming. The other day I caught some word that Nvidia takes a 20% hit on DX12 based games due to a long standing driver issue. This has me curious about alternatives.

A friend who is on Windows wants to upgrade and is willing to buy mine 4080 for the cost of an AMD 9070 XT that I'd replace it with.

Since Linux has better support for AMD overall, am I crazy here? I imagine I'd get more for the Nvidia card elsewhere but I'm less interested in that and more looking at the quick "cost free" transition to AMD this could allow for.

How do you cancel the cloud service? I just tried it out and decided I'm not interested, but I can't find where in the android app I go to actually cancel service with them.

I just bought Homeworld Revelations and want to dive in with my friends. We all normally play online using either Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds for DnD but it seems like the 2d20 system is harder to find support for. Does anyone have any experience in finding ways to make this work for either of these platforms or could recommend some other software / app?

I imagine that the Homeworld Revelations game is going to be non-existent right now, so I don't mind customizing something to fit my needs.

I recently picked up the shield in order to get away from relying on the built in android TV experience on the Bravia. After hooking things up it...works but things just feel a bit off still. Like the TV isn't quite getting the sound passed through right to the soundbar all the time. Sometimes the sound gets to the TV and outputs to the sound bar even if the TV thinks it's outputting externally.

Here's what I'm working with...

• Nvidia Shield 2019 Tube Edition
• TV (Bravia XBR-55X900E https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/product/xbr-55x900e)
• Soundbar (Signa S2 https://www.polkaudio.com/products/signa-s2)

Current config is I've got the shield into the HDMI 2 port, and the HDMI 3 / AR
