The End

Serious Discussion Only

I’ve just finished my rewatch. First time viewing since its initial release (yeah, I know, whassamatta for me?!?).

The series had the same heavy impact as before but I didn’t like Tony this time which surprised me. I thought he was the coolest when I first watched. He was still wildly charismatic but what a lowlife. Credit a masterful James Gandolfini.

I am among those who despised the ending. Knowing what was coming allowed me to watch the final moments without the anxious nail biting.
I was expecting, again, to be pissed by the blackout but I actually got teary. Surprising.

I’d like to hear how your subsequent viewings have changed your impressions.

I’m rewatching the show for the first time since its original run. How is it possible that it’s been nearly 20 years?!

Just watched the scene in which an armed Artie confronts Tony after Livia told him that Tony burned down Vesuvio. When Tony swears on “my Mother” that he had nothing to do with it, I found the line both funny and chilling.

It is so very good to watch this again. So much brilliant dialogue, even the throwaway bits.

I’ve had enough of Subaru of Ann Arbor.

We have two Forresters both of which we bought from them. Because neither of us is car savvy, we’ve always had the cars serviced there but after recent nonsense regarding brakes/brake fluid and a ridiculously expensive check-up, I am ready to move on.

Could any of you recommend an honest and knowledgeable mechanic, please?
