So, in order to encourage my players to go for high quality blood, I introduced blood quality as homebrew. Basically, you can drink up to the quality x10% of your blood pool without the blood becoming disgusting and requiring willpower to gulp down. But if you are really hungry, the beast will make you lap up even very disgusting blood. A reasonably healthy human, drunken directly from the vein, will usually have quality 10. Some rare vessels will have an exquisite quality, and may restore willpower or grant some other buff. Animal blood drunken fresh has quality 5. Corpse blood is rarely any better. Cold, stored blood also looses quality.

So you could get by hunting stray animals, but eit

So I have this somewhat homebrewed campaign where the PCs are a bunch of relatively young dragonblooded lost eggs mostly, so no or few ties to the scarlet dynasty and such. They hang out in the east and are somewhat anathema friendly, they work as mercs and once had a job taking them to thorns where they were almost killed (but a solar zenith helped them, so they have a contact to the resistance in thorns). So now they are understandably somewhat averse to facing abyssals, at least until they get some advanced combat charms to maybe be able to take on an abyssal as a team.
In the most recent arc, they took a guild contract, raised an army and conquered bandit kingdom. They had to make a d

I've worked long and hard to get me to stop smoking. Smoked for like 20 years, switched to vaping, did that for a few years, tapered off the nicotine, vaped a bit without nic, finally stopped. It went reasonably well for like maybe 10 months, even though the physical symptoms from quitting nic were hard and I got cravings. But then there was some emotional stress and pain from me developing a crush on someone I shouldn't have had a crush on, and in my pain I turned to nicotine again. It was just one smoke at first, assembled from leftovers in the guest ashtray. Then sometime later I found an old disposable vape and it still worked, and I vaped for a night. And then I was nic free again for m

so, I want to use the forbidden lands engine for a homebrew setting
and it is meant, more or less, to follow in the footsteps of PC games like stoneshard, battle brother or war tales

low fantasy, gritty, and careful ressource management is very important

to that end, I'd like some kind of house rule to differentiate attribut points lost to the effects of weapons from "normal" attribute loss
and I'd like "wounds" to not just go away with a single rest

i know there are critical injuries, but i'd like something in between, where you aren't extremely badly hurt but might want to rest up for a few days or a week, visit the healer a couple of times, before you set out again

There is going

I think the de facto 10 HP of starter HUBs is okay, but don't be afraid to make other ships have wildly differing HP. A fighter craft or a shuttle might have just 2 or 3 and die easily to hyper velocity guns. A big cruiser might have much more HP, like, I dunno, 20 or 30, and be a very bad idea for a normal player ship to engage in combat.

So the mother of two of the PCs in my campaign signed up with biotechnica to help provide for the family. And she has been suspiciously well off, even gifting her sons a car and such. She went to Europe some time ago. And now the sons got notified she is dead, got handed her ashes and they were told there was an attempt at corporate espionage and their mother died a hero. Details are, sadly, confidential.

Another PC, a medtech, did an analysis of the ashes and is fairly certain they are from pig, not human.

Earlier rumors the group gathered concern a project einherjar were biotechnica were apparently working on genetically enhanced supersoldiers or something. And another rumor mentioned

So I have this gig idea, where the group is hired to convince a martial arts master to record his moves for a skill chip. The company making the chip expects some difficulty convincing him, so they hire a couple of creative persons (ie the PC party). Now the idea is, that a former student somehow got involved with street fighting and reached out for help to his old master. Most combat are organized by tyger claws, there is betting, there are crowds watching, this kind of thing. Think the fight club scene in Ong Bak. The student wants to stop, but the claws threaten him (and his cat). So maybe the group can rescue the cat and escape with the student, thus convincing the martial arts master to
