Hey everyone,

I’ve been using a TP-Link Deco Wi-Fi 7 mesh system for my home network, which I use a lot for game streaming, with my host gaming rig on the floor above our living room. It worked fine when my client was an Apple TV at 1440p 60 Hz, but once I built a dedicated living room HTPC to push 4K 120 Hz/HDR streams via Vibeshine host & Moonlight client, wireless packet pacing was rearing its head and leading to micro stutters and frame pacing problems.

We had 3 phone jacks with cat 5e cable but in totally inconvenient locations so I quickly abandoned them, and I did not want to fish new wire because it would be difficult with our home. The house had 7 coax wall ports spread across th

Hey everyone,

It worked fine when my client was an Apple TV at 1440p 60 Hz, but once I built a dedicated living room HTPC to push uncompromised 4K 120 Hz/HDR streams via Sunshine & Moonlight, wireless packet pacing was rearing its head and leading to micro stutters and frame pacing problems.

We had 3 phone jacks with cat 5e cable but in totally inconvenient locations so I quickly abandoned them, and I did not want to fish new wire because it would be difficult with our home. The house had 7 coax wall ports spread across three floors and the basement. I had a

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share my current 3 PC home setup built to achieve low latency local game streaming and high bitrate 4K Bluray playback in the living room without running Ethernet through the walls between floors.

Primary Goals:

  1. Stream 1440p upscaled to 4K @ 120 FPS with HDR and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling at \~150 Mbps.
  2. Maintain sub-25ms total input-to-display latency over a wireless backhaul between floors.
  3. Host high-bitrate 4K remuxes alongside self-hosted cloud services (Immich, Syncthing) on a redundant, low power server.

Hi all,

I was crunching some numbers on how much I will have put into my PC which I originally built in March 2020. Caveat, I live in the U.S. and have been within driving distance of a Microcenter throughout the years. So I know I have access to cheaper parts than the rest of the world.

I’ve made purpose driven upgrades over time to maintain high end settings for my needs. which ultimately will have cost me $34 a month or $1.11 a day for my build’s entire planned lifetime (03/2020-mid 2031).

My original build:

ASUS TUF X570 WiFi Pro Mobo
32 GB DDR4 Crucial Ballistix
EVGA XC3 Ultra RTX 3080 w/ 10 GB VRAM
Ryzen Zen3 5800x
1 TB Samsung 990 NVME drive
32 inch Dell curved

Hello all, I’m trying to switch from PAYE to new IBR, and when I submit the form on studentaid.gov, even if I manually enter data into the text box, my address shows up on the submitted form as “null.” The automatically pulled form data into the text box is my correct street address, and my correct street address is the one that students.gov has listed for me. On the submitted IDR form however, the State, town, zip code are all correct but not my actual street address.

Has this happened to anyone? How has this been resolved? Did your servicer actually care/know about this glitch? I have aidvantage.

Thank you!

Hello All,

New homeowners here for the past year , bought a 2007 build with some systems we’ve been preparing to do some maintenence on the next few years…our gas powered tank water heater finally started to show some leaking from the bottom of the tank last week and so we’re replacing it.

We are replacing the water heater with a heat pump system, but the costs are a little higher than what we expected, though consistent in who was charging what.

Got 3 quotes, all already factoring a $1000 rebate from our state in the Northeast-

A- 4200 for permits, electrical work, capping gas lines, new circuit from the panel, installing new heater and connecting it to the existing condensate line, and

Hey All,

Rebalancing and came up with this strategy, wanted to get your thoughts. I am 33, high income earner, and have an event horizon of 20-21 years until I ideally cut down to per diem work or part time depending on how I feel in 20 years. All ETFs are Vanguard or Fidelity’s.

60% International ETF

30% US ETFs- 80% mega/large cap, 20% small & medium

10% Total moderate/long term bonds ETF

This is a shift from what I ran the past 10 years and made a great return on, though with out as much volume as I can now. I had an income spike only 2 years ago that increased my income from something much more modest.

65% S&P 500 ETF

35% International ETF

I just am bullish on how concentra
