So this works and it tells me the up or down brightness. Is it possible to get the brightness level as in percent? Or even maybe 1 through 10? Thanks

So I did the chrx method. Gave it the recommended 9GB. After all is said and done the initial install is about 4GB? Why? I have actually installed i3 and it rocks. I think I have removed just about everything I can think of but it's still leaving me with only half the storage. Thoughts? TIA.

I just picked up a C740 on the cheap side. I want to install Gallium and I have been surfing on how to do it. Looks like chrx would be a good way for me to go, dual boot. I have installed Linux on Thinkpads and Dells for a few years now, but never a Chromebook. Just asking if anyone recently install GaOS or would anyone have any advise before moving forward? TIA.

So I use Alpine for my email reader. But when I select a URL it appears to try to open it in terminal instead of jumping to chrome. I also installed the crouton extension but that does not do anything. TIA.

I am trying to change the default from email address. In gmail I can do it via the web email. But I can't figure out how to change it. Or have a reply to email address. TIA.
