A public service announcement for r/LostGame for free software

Celebrating 10 years creating iOS software including some of the most popular Egyptology apps, Aviametrix is making "Egyptian Art Breakout Puzzle" free! It joins our very popular "Queens of Ancient Egypt" as a free app in the Apple AppStore.

It's a fun little app which combines jigsaw puzzles with breakout-type action against hundreds of classic examples of Egyptian art. Break the canopic jars to reveal puzzle pieces. Many levels of increasing difficult. Just for fun. Enjoy!

Recent changes in AppStoreConnect by Apple have made tracking the performance of apps more difficult and frustrating, especially if you have more than just a few apps in distribution. With about 30 apps in my portfolio, I realized I was spending more time navigating the web-based analytics views in AppStoreConnect than actually working on code.

I decided to stop fighting Apple’s new UI and built a dedicated native utility to pull everything into one place.

The technical challenge here was building a system that could aggregate regional metrics from 175 territories without blowing through memory or battery life. I ended up hand-coding a SwiftUI solution using SQLite to handle the heavy lift

r/FontLab•

Greetings!

I have been trying to code a small script in FontLab 7.1.3 to scale, center and otherwise modify a glyph imported from an .svg file. From the current font, I can find no attribute to get to the current selected glyph in the Font view, or even from an open Glyph view. I consulted the FontLab 7 doc and even both Gemini and DeepSeek. I am at a loss. Can anyone point me in the correct direction?

AMS 2 Help

Troubleshooting

I recently purchased a X1C/AMS-2 combo. It has already printed some fine models right out of the box. Today, I was switching out an old spool of Inland PLA and it brittlely snapped off right at the filament intake nozzle of slot 3. I am trying to follow the directions in the Bambu Wiki "AMS 2 Pro Broken Filament Removal" but am stuck at Step 1 (remove PTFE tube from 4to1 hub). I push down hard on the oblong black button, all the way to the stop, and try pulling on the slot 3 PTFE tube, but it doesn't budge.

Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks.

r/Hieroglyphics•

Hieratic is, of course, the handwritten version of hieroglyphs. Papyri are mostly written this way. For those looking for a gentle intro to hieratic, there is a just updated App in the Apple AppStore (iOS only at this point). It's called Hieratic Flash Cards.

Not an ad.

Just a note for those here that use the Hieroglyph Pro App. It had a massive dictionary enhancement released last night, so download the update ASAP from the AppStore!

The update adds 33,000 entries to the Egyptian Language dictionary. About half are attested spelling variants of existing words, the rest are unique new words and phrases. The new total is over 133 thousand words and phrases. All the new additions are matched to TLALemmaIDs for further reference.

The update also added 1200 new hieroglyphs to support the new dictionary entries, bring the total to over 4078 glyphs.
