I’m in my late 30s and only just now able to talk about this with anyone, or think about it myself. I fobbed off the bullying behaviours for years as “that’s just how it was back then, that’s just girls being girls” but I’ve been speaking to a therapist about other stuff, and he has stated very clearly that I was bullied over years. It was a Catholic girls grammar school. It was psychological, insidious, subtle and long term, so it is much harder to pin down than being physically assaulted.

It was constant horrible, demeaning comments about my body and my face, about everything I did, telling me I’d never amount to anything, saying bad things about my family, about where I was from, delib

Can anyone else relate? I used to have really bad anxiety and rage during luteal but haven’t had it in about 6 months. I have a couple of days where I’m a little bit irritable and more easily stressed but it’s pretty manageable.

I attribute this change to doing quite a lot of individual and couples therapy over the last year, which is making daily life a lot easier in general.

The issues I’m still having are physical- mainly brain fog, extreme fatigue, allergies and body aches around ovulation and in the week before my period. The physical symptoms are pretty debilitating.

Is this still PMDD? I’m very confused.

I’ve been tracking symptoms and foods and I’ve realised that this has now happened 3 times in the last month. About an hour after eating leftover beef or lamb (from the previous day) I get a nervy pain in my left leg that lasts for hours. I understand the mechanism by which this happens- proteins converting to histamine.

Is this common? Is the leg pain a symptom of MCAS or just histamine intolerance, or neither?

Started quercetin supplement just before ovulation this cycle and I haven’t had any pmdd symptoms at all. My period didn’t arrive when it should have (currently 4 days late which never happens to me) so I stopped the quercetin 2 days ago. and since then my pmdd symptoms are slowly returning. Does anyone have a similar experience?

I know quercetin can have mild impacts on hormones but this seems crazy.

I started taking Quercetin (Solgar Quercetin Complex 500mg tablets x 2/day) 2 weeks ago. My period is 4 days late now (this is very unusual for me) and I’ve read that because Quercetin is a phytoestrogen it can impact hormones and menstrual cycles.

Has this happened to anyone else? Did it resolve itself? Did you have to stop Quercetin?

Thank you

I have endometriosis, and for as long as I can remember I have “allergy” symptoms in the second half of my cycle alongside the classic pelvic endo pain and fatigue.

These are: extremely itchy skin all over my body; very itchy dry eyes, constipation, bloating and gassiness (both ends); shortness of breath. The worst case scenario is I have a full blown “allergy attack” where I have all of the above but also a couple of days of very watery eyes and nose, and extreme constant huge sneezing, to the point it really hurts my throat.

My symptoms seem to just be in luteal phase.

I’m already taking prescribed fexofenadine hydrochloride 180mg daily during this time, but I am preparing to ask for

Forgot to take my prescription away with me on holiday and have been doing luteal without sertraline this month. I had 2-3 days around ovulation where I was in a low mood, anxious and easily irritated. Since then (I’m now on day 21 of a 28 day cycle) I’ve had physical PMDD symptoms (fatigue and brain fog) but no mood issues whatsoever. What the hell is going on?

I’ve been taking sertraline during luteal for nearly 2 years and if my memory serves me correctly, before this I used to have bad emotional issues for 2 weeks straight.

Is there any chance that my PMDD has improved, or changed? Has anyone else had this experience?

I feel like I’m losing the plot. I have endometriosis and suspected PMDD (haven’t had a formal diagnosis but NHS GP suspects it) and I can’t find something that works.

My symptoms from ovulation are:

  • fatigue - varying, sometimes extreme
  • depression
  • rage
  • anxiety
  • low self esteem
  • allergy symptoms (runny nose, itchy eyes, itchy skin, sneezing)
  • Flu like symptoms - chills
  • joint pain in wrists, back and hips

I’ve had these for the last 6 years during luteal, and then as soon as my period arrives everything goes back to normal.

I’ve tried both combined contraceptive pills and mini- pills, all of them actively made my fatigue and depression a lot worse. I’ve tried antihist

Sorry, I couldn’t find a relevant flair for this post! My friend lives in Boston and I’d love to get them a voucher for some kind of spa, sauna or relaxing experience as a present. I’m based in the UK and don’t know much about Boston at all. She’s been through a lot over the last year and would like to get her something special. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I apologise if this post isn’t allowed, thought I’d give it a try…I guess I’m looking for a bit of solidarity or understanding from others who’ve been in a similar situation.

Im being kicked out of my studio building next year as it has new owners and they’re turning it into office space. It’s already starting to happen, but they’re allowing us to stay while they transition, I’m essentially renting a space inside a building site right now.

Where I live there is less and less provision for art studio spaces, and my work is 3D / installation based so I can’t work small scale. Alternative places are just non existent at the moment.

I’ve been getting a HUGE amount of anxiety around losing

I have had PMDD and an endo diagnosis for a few years, and only recently became conscious of needing to take a lot of big deep sighs around ovulation. It’s like I can’t get enough air into my lungs. I just searched it online and apparently it’s a bloody hormonal thing? I can’t fully understand it yet but either something to do with progesterone impacting CO2 levels, or endometrium growing on the diaphragm or lungs? And if you have asthma it can get a lot worse during luteal?

Can anyone shed any light? I thought I was done with my list of PMDD symptoms, and now I’m being deprived of oxygen??
