Hi everyone so I mostly play on PS5, got my switch 2 to play downstairs and run a few casual matches nothing to crazy.

Maybe it’s me but my aim feels off, I am playing portable so i don’t know if that has anything to do with that . I was wondering was there any settings I can tweak or its something I just have to get better on 🥲

I just picked up my Xbox Ally X couple of days ago, but I have noticed in some games vibration/rumble are not working. I loaded up some Black Ops 7 and no rumble and there’s a few other games I have that it doesn’t work.

I made sure vibration is enabled in both the games and command center. Maybe I have to live with it lol but I figured I come on here and see maybe somebody experienced the same thing and might know a solution.

I’m looking to replace the thermal paste with some PTM7950 but I can’t find a good teardown guide or video that shows taking off the heat sink.

Is it something that is accessible or pretty difficult to do?

Does anybody have any recommendations for undervolting or power limits to keep temps down. Maybe I’m over thinking it and the temps are ok.

I do have a cooling pad (llano v12) but even with that it can still hit a high of 102 -104. I applied undervolt of around -0.55. In benchmarks it will be around 85’s - 90 but HWINFO will still report package thermal or core thermal even though the temp is around 90 no where near the limit

I applied a power limit of 80/120 but temps can still spike up . Or is that normal behavior?

I am still within my return policy at Best Buy but I do love this laptop. So really hoping to get some recommendations or guidance.

I currently have the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i basically same specs but at my local Best Buy I do see an open box for the strix g18 and I do like the bigger screen.

Of course it doesn’t have OLED and the frame is plastic, but I do like the upgradable back panel that does slide off . It’s only 100 dollar difference and on my Lenovo only has 1TB of storage vs 2 on the strix.

I do have the Best Buy total tech so I’m not too worried about customer service from Asus.

I purchased this open box a few days ago. Looks like whoever had it last did a clean windows install so none of the omen software was on there.

Finally updated everything and everything is good I do have the gaming hub and HwInfo64 downloaded but it does tell me it does throttle and the it does hit as high as 103-104.

I have it tried it on performance and unleashed. Tried messing with fan curves and I even have a cooling fan but it does peak at those temps but it doesn’t stay there for long and does drop. Is that normal behavior unfortunately this is my first laptop so I am use to cooler temps on desktops.

I have the option of getting both at my local Best Buy open box. They are about 200 dollars apart where the 5080 is the cheaper option. The 5080 is 105W vs the 5070Ti has full power. Is there going to be much of a difference in power or will the 5070Ti because it has full power take the lead?

I purchased a G16 5070Ti from Best Buy for 2099.99. I was scrolling and saw an open box MSI steal a16+ 5080 for 1825.99.

Obviously I would be saving money here I know both laptops limit the amount of power to the GPU. Is it worth returning the g16 for the 5080?

Hi everyone I just purchased the G16 yesterday. Did a fresh window install and installed Ghelper. I guess my main question does anybody have any good recommendations for balanced and turbo modes.

When I game my CPU and GPU are hitting max temps. I haven’t on a metal laptop stand with plenty of clearance but I am gaming on an external monitor so that probably does play a factor.

I remember readING awhile back that VRR and mac mini is kinda broken where theres alot flicker and Judder. Is it still prevalent? I was considering purchasing a Mac mini for GFN. I do have a OLED C5.

I am a PATHer. My transcripts updated today all of the codes are there. There is no 570 code or freeze. From my understanding CP0012 is saying my return was adjusted. According to my transcripts it shows my new updated amount which is about 50 dollars less than I was going to originally receive.

With a processing date of 3-2-2026 I guess my question is will my refund process like normal with the updated amount or will there be a delay?
