Volunteer Fire chief is retiring after many years of service. I don't think any of us got great grades in English class so I could use some help with how to word his plaque properly.
"Your commitment to fire and life safety, and showing leadership in your community is sincerely appreciated"
"Your dedication to Fire, Life Safety, and the leadership you have shown in our community is sincerely appreciated"
These are a couple of the options suggested, but they both still seem slightly off for some reason I can't explain. Any tips or do either of these seem good enough?
