So what's the big deal with people getting uppity about me not wanting all this rap in my beautiful dreamscapes?
Well Mr Sockpuppet, good question.
I suspect the root of it is down to one of the narratives in the album which unlocks when you listen with good in-ear/over ear headphones. The experience puts you into the ears of a Wildflower, a girl ("Hi.") flying high in the winds of the city.. who gets stoned, huffs paint, listens to cassettes and trips out on the colours against the wall. And theres your answer: all your beautiful dreamscapes are filtered through the ears of this girl out on the street huffing paint. Its a world of fantasy after all, and when you-we-the audience s
Ok, I mean we can all stand around, kicking tires, admiring samples and pretend to our mothers-in-law that Wildflower isn't the huge call for taking hallucinagens that it is, or we can get wade the hell in and discuss it like consenting adults (who for legal purposes are definitely only talking about things in a sense of fiction and whimsy).
SILY's soundscape allowed you to get stoned and walk it down the pier. Maybe a bit of hanky panky on the side. But Wildflower needs you to go all the way and trip out with her. It's just built into its DNA and thats the sirens call to Wildflower, its literally standing there, waiting, hands on hips, mid-trip saying to you "What the hell kept you?"

How do you do fellow kids. So I'm a big fan of synthwave and all its incarnations but I feel like theres something that I'm missing namely in the more dark synth area. What is the deal with the symbolism of up turned crosses, triangles, and pentragrams found in Carpenter Brut, Perturbator etc music videos? Where did that arise from and whats the idea behind it? I mean I get what those symbols are traditionally meant to represent but it feels like they're being used differently here.
Is it to suggest a secret power in the music?
Taking Carpenter Brut's Turbo Killer for example you have repeating imagery of the cross both ways up, branded on the girl glowing, a pyramid of power which causes
Apologies for those that are sick of hearing about Heroforge but I realised that no one has made a post about their quality having had them arrive and there was a lot of talk about brittleness and quality detail which was causing people to be unsure.
Well mine arrived today - Just two days before he embarks on his first adventure, phew! (I'm EU and they're printed in the Netherlands so I guess those in the US may have an extra few days to wait).
First off for the record I can only attest to the quality of the high detail versions that are $25 as I didn't order any minis made in the cheaper more hardy plastic. That being said, the quality is really high standard. The detail in the face is
I'm posting this here in the hope it might help a few people who are going through what I was.
I originally was suffering from the dreaded continual crashes in towns and cities. It happened three times over the first 20 minutes as I flailed around blindly trying to reduce my graphics, chucking everything out like a Viking bailing water from a sinking ship, all to no avail. My machine has 16 gigs of RAM so I was pretty confidant it wasn't that which was causing the trouble.
So I jumped back onto the forums and read up a little bit. Following the official forum advice here: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,319760.0.html I turned on "Force Single Threading" and "Textures on Deman
I've just finished watching the two June 21st Chikara events and discovered an absolute jewel of an extra match tagged onto the end of Diamonds Are Forever. Seemingly filmed between the two events there's a dark match between Shynron and Chuck Taylor and they get a kid up on commentary.
-
Holy hell Shynron can move.

Listening to a kid do commentary (carefully supported by Leonard F Chikarason) on a Chikara match is nothing short of heart warming. Hearing the kids reactions to the match, his stories of his times at previous events and how much he's into wrestling really puts the promotion's child friendly product into perspective. I really hope they might consider doing more kid commen
