Looking to buy a DRZ-400SM that seems a bit cheap for the year but also a bit rough for the year. I'm used to dual sport but never owned a Suzuki before.
Bike is a 2022, 5k miles, has a few mods like 3x3, exhaust and jetting kit which seems pretty standard. Seems to have a tail tidy and missing the rear lights (flashers, maybe brake?)
Looking online, it seems common problems are:
-
electrical/stator issues
-
loose front sprocket nut that creates some sound/slack
-
bearing wear on steering head and swingarm (way to check is to have the bike in the air, turn handlebar side to side to be smooth. Same for swingarm but it shouldn't move side to side)
-
side stand switch seems to have issues
I'm looking for my first holster and came across a company that makes some holsters with a large choice of patterns such as regular, basketweave or a fake leather print.
I don't normally wear under shirts and would carry IWB but not sure where yet but the holster would probably be against the skin. Does the kind of pattern you have change anything to comfort wearing it or it makes no difference whatsoever?
Not sure it's appropriate here but hoping this sub can help I have a set of Anovia Titan wheels I'm trying to put on a Toyota. I can't find ET lug nuts that fit the holes on the wheels. The Titans are supposed to take conical lug nuts per the company but I got them used and not much else info from them and they wouldn't answer when I messaged Anovia about ET lug nuts that would fit.
I tried with a set of regular conical lug nuts on the car, get about 6 turns but I feel the contact area is off. Lug nuts are M12x1.5, about 23mm/0.9" inch wide at the base. They're cheaply painted lug nuts but it seems it only contacts on the top of the cone as per this pic.
I might be over thinking it as thes

I hope I'm not messing up the terminology but I'm looking to get a set of Anovia wheels. They confirmed to me their mags take conical lug nuts whereas I currently have the stock wheels and flat washer lug nuts that are stock (2023 Toyota Prius). Looking online, I saw there is ET lug nuts that seem to be conical but have an extended part that goes deeper in the hole to grab more thread.
Is there a general rule on knowing when I need ET lug nuts vs regular ones?
From my research, the stock lug nuts I have are M12x1.25 but I don't have a jack currently to take the stock wheels and test fit the new one to see how much of the wheel stud will stick out. Is there any downside to getting ET lug nu
I've been shopping around for a windshield tint in the lightest shade I can find with the best heat reduction and tried to have my windshield tinted twice by the same shop with really good reviews. Both times both sides of the windshield had a quite a bit of dust bubbles and a handful of creases. The first time it even had a long scratch on one side of the tint and the other a bunch of bubbles right in the field of view. In the end, we ended up removing it so I have no tint now.
I'm shopping other stores and I get conflicting answers when asking how much dust bubbles I should expect from a windshield tint. One shop told me 10% is "industry standard" (charging $200), another large chain told
Like the title says. I'm looking for people who got their windshield tinted, have you had any issues, how did it come out and how did they cut around the cameras?
I'm running into issues with mine and trying to figure out why it's different or coming up with issues.
I was recently looking to get my windshield tinted with a ceramic tint against heat and got a few quotes like a Llumar installer for $200 and another detailing shop that uses CeramicPro for about $140.
I went for the Ceramic Pro as the Llumar one I saw had a heavy blue tint and I wanted the tint to be as unnoticeable as possible. The Ceramic Pro has a very light blue hue, many shades lighter than the Llumar.
Did the install, owner asked me for slightly less money as he said it was fast. There were some water bubbles and a couple spots at the bottom lifting but he told me it should go away as it dries. As I turned on the car, some sensor malfunction came on for the lane assist/keeping camer
