I've been using the Reddit Mobile app for a while, and overall I haven't had nearly as many complaints as others. However, the biggest complaint I have is that I seem to constantly be getting assigned random test branches of the APK or whatever.

Examples include having a forced sidebar rather than a bottom bar or moving where my user profile is, or right now where swiping up, rather than bringing me to the comment section which is intuitive, now moves me to the next post while swiping left or right does nothing.

I genuinely don't understand why these are not customizable options, and why they keep trying to reinvent the wheel, or why there isn't some notification that this is happening wit

I've been picking at The Rising by Brian Keene (author's definitive edition) for a bit now. I'm 30% in and so far I'm getting very little from it.

My first impressions:

The prose is alright, the characters feel really flat (the drug dealers in particular almost had me DNF right there.) The horror, what there is of it anyway, just doesn't feel very extreme or compelling or like it matters at all. But above all, the premise is just kinda... Silly. Theres just so much contrivance and hand waving to justify everything that's happening.

I really want to like this book because I've been looking to get into more extreme horror and in particular I've been craving zombie content, especially someth

I've been wanting to ferment beans and lentils to be cooked after fermentation, basically as a precook ferment prep?

I also want to do fermented nuts.

Everything I see about beans is about already cooked beans or Miso. Can I ferment dry beans in salt brine? What percent salt is required? Will lacto do the job on it own or do I need Koji? Do I need to back slop or is there enough lacto on the dry bean/lentil?

For nuts mostly the same questions.

I have Kirkland almonds in 2% salt with Koji and it's been bubbling up a storm. Can I just dehydrate these, roast em and go to town or am I walking into a world of hurt?

Thanks in advance!

I started two quarts of sunchokes. I only had one airlock lid so I just left a normal mason lid a little loose on the other. After only about a week the one with the airlock has completely stopped bubbling. It smells wonderful but I can't imagine something as dense as a sunchoke is done already. Meanwhile the other is nice and active but the aroma is more earthy.

I suppose I have a few questions:

How long generally do sunchokes need to ferment and what results can you expect and different stages

Is the fact that the one that smells 'worse' is still active an indicator that it's just further along in the process?

The spent LAB in the sweet one makes me wonder if it's just... 'done'. And t

I've been using this beast for a while. Decided to get some refillable cartridges and they've been working a treat! Refilled my cyan this morning mid print. It started back up again, got one or two more pages in then popped up with a Preparing the Ink message Filling ink reservoir with ink from cartridge.
Sits on that for a dogs age then pops up with a generic "Print Error" no code or message.
Tried reseating ink, restarting, jostling, rustling its jimmies. No joy. Can't do any of the normal maintenance processes because apparently the first thing it checks for is the reservoir (see above).

This none of these carts have ever had an issue, so I'm hoping its something easy and obvious.

Hello all, So I recieved a free honeywell T9 smart Thermostat and I'm tryin to replace an older honeywell with it. The issues first arose when I saw that the wires at the terminal didn't include a C (Common) wire. No problem, the kit came with a C Wire adapter and some instructions.

So I went down to the Furnace (brand new, installed less than a year ago) and it looks like it has a C wire. This suggested to me that the guy who intalled it might have already spliced things in to be able to support a device with C Wire. So I labeled everything, then went back to the Thermostat and tried everything in the same ports as the previous unit. No joy, not even power. Then I tried putting in the C W

She apparently didn't get inside with the others. No signs of injury or anything. Not cold enough for hypothermia (about 50 at the coldest) Not sure what happened

Is she still safe to eat?

Thanks
