Hey guys!

I've been using my SPES AP Pro 800n NG jacket for a few years now, but it is really hot and it restricts movements a lot.

I would like to get a lighter jacket that offers more freedom of movement and that is less hot. I am currently stuck trying to decide between the SPES AP Light Pro Plus 350n and the SPES AP Light 800n (the newest variations of those jackets that is currently available). I only do Longsword, metal feders, full contact sparring.

I am just worried that the AP Light 800n won't be a big enough upgrade from my current jacket. I don't mind small bruises, but I saw that the AP Light 350n has almost no padding in a lot of areas. I'm not sure if this is differen

Hey guys!

I would like to hear your opinions about burst fps for wildlife shooting. This whole time I have been shooting at 30fps just to make sure I'm getting every cool frame possible, but lately I have noticed that going down to 20fps would give me some unique frames that I didn't get that much with 30fps, because the frame timing is different.

For example: With swallows I noticed that 30fps mostly captures the same 2 wing poses...completely down and completely up. Seems like they beat their wings at around 15fps, meaning I only get those 2 positions when shooting 30fps. With 20fps I usually get a lot more transition wing positions.

Now I would like to hear what fps you prefer a

Hey guys!

I use my A7RVI mostly with my 400-800mm for wildlife. My girlfriend has an a6000 and I want to get a telephoto lens for her, so we can go birding together. I will also use the lens as a lighter alternative to the 400-800, that will let me take the camera with me more often.

Now I am trying to decide between the Tamron 50-300 and the sony 70-350. I know that the 70-350 is an excellent lens since I already owned it before. As I see it the advantages / disadvantages are:

70-350:

-> a little more reach (though not really noticable)

-> very fast AF motors for action

-> full 30fps support

-> Only covers apsc, limits RVI to 28MP (Still enough in most situations)

-> signif

Hey!

After a few months of testing out my new A7RVI for wildlife, I noticed a peculiar behavior with the A7RVI and the 400-800mm. I would like to know if anyone else has noticed a similar issue:

When using the 400-800mm, using "AF tracking sensitivity for speed change" on either -1 (stable) or +1 (responsive) makes the AF very unreliable, even on static subjects. The AF keeps focusing back and forth. This seems to be amplified when "AF lvl for crossing" is set to lower values like 1. When setting tracking sensitivity to 0 (standard) and AF lvl for crossing to 5 (Responsive) the camera performs basically flawlessly.

This issue did not happen with the A7V I used before I got the RVI. I us

Hey Guys!

I have a little Problem with Polkit. I installed a gnome extension called "Custom Command Toggle" that adds a custom toggle to the quick menu that can run a command when toggled. I wrote 2 scripts, one for on-toggle, one for off-toggle. They both just use sudo systemctl start and stop to basically switch between 2 sets of services depending on the toggle. This obviously requires sudo rights. I don't want to have to input my password whenever I toggle the button because it will happen pretty often.

So I want to create a polkit rule to allow the execution of these scripts without a password prompt. I created a rules file in etc/polkit-1/rules.d and copied the contents of anot

Hey guys,

as the Title says...I created a bash script to sync google drive folders with local folders to emulate the offline access feature of the windows desktop client. The script works as intended when I run it from the terminal. Since I want have the script running automatically I created a new service in /etc/systemd/system named GdriveOffSync.service. The content in the Service file is as follows:

[Unit]

Description=gDrive Synchronise

After=network.target

[Service]

ExecStart=/usr/local/bin/GdriveOffSync.sh

Type=simple

Restart=always

RestartSec=4

WorkingDirectory=/usr/local/bin

[Install]

WantedBy=multi-user.target

After saving the service, I did

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about getting a bunch of 351A 3700k but on the website it says "(Neutral)". I specifically want them to be rosy...if I want a neutral emitter I would get 519A. I want them to at least be as rosy as the 4000k 707A.

Does anyone have any experiences with this current batch and how rosy they are?

Hey!

So I have been thinking about this "issue" for quite some time now and haven't been able to find a reliable answer for it.

The Situation is this:

4000mAh 18650 with 10A max CDR

vs

3500mAh 18650 with 15A max CDR (just an example)

If I draw 5A continuously it will be half of the 10A cell and a third of the 15A cell. I know that the 15A cell will have less voltage sag under high loads, which will increase effective capacity because less energy is lost as heat.

Here is where the question comes in:

At what percentage of the rated continuous CDR does a truly noticable drop in effective capacity occur? Is 50% of the rated CDR already a point where the 3500mAh cell would outperform th

Got my first FFL Emitters yesterday and oh boy are they nice. I got the FFL351A and FFL707A both in 4000k.

They are so beautifully rosy. The 351A seems to have a lot more variance in cct than the 707A, but doesn't bother me.

I immediately swapped out all of the LEDs in my lights for them. Performance is really impressive, especially on the FFL707A compared to an R70 XHP70.3 HI. The drop in brightness is barely noticable unless comparing side by side.

Lights that I swapped:

Emisar D1K

Fenix HP35R

Skilhunt H200 mini

Manker E05 II

Acebeam H30

Convoy T3

Acebeam E75

I plan to post some pictures of the lights and some beans later
