We are kind of in between campaigns, we are about to play a short Delta Green scenario or two, then maybe a Mothership adventure or The Hooded Man. Our next major campaign (planning stages) is Shadowrun using the Cities Without Number system.

We don't play 5e. If you are interested in trying out other games drop me a DM and we'll chat and see if it's a good fit.

I keep reading this and the numbers just don't add up to me.

In this book the races have a custom rating which caps the negative racial ability points.

In Sewer Samurai if you are an Alien or a Mutant you can choose a racial package that includes a bunch of abilities and clearly says if you take racial package you don't get further custom rating adjustments. That's fine, but then I'm looking at the racial options and the math doesn't seem right on some of these races.

The Cat mutant has 11 positives offset by 3 negatives total of 8 positive - which fits the 8 free points rule.

The dog mutant has 8 points of positives and a -2 negative trait.....for a total of 6 positive?

Is this c

I have an old beat up softcover of Monster Island for RUnequest 6, I don't have the PDF for it though which I need. I was about to buy it but I saw that Monster Island looked like it had been officially updated for Mythras. I'm aware that the changes are likely minimal but my two questions are this.

  1. Does design mechanism give you a free pdf when you buy a hard copy?

Has the current version of Monster Island been updated for Mythras officially (no more strike rank, etc)?

If the answer to both of these is yes, I think I'll just get a fresh hard copy and get my pdf at the same time.

My PCs are going to be prisoners working off their sentences in the Grind and colony. The book implies trade deals, diplomacy and such with both the Savage and the high folk, so how would you handle langue and communication with non native PCs?

Just wondering if there is any kind of local community of Sumo fans. I'm a relatively new fan and I think I'm driving my friends crazy talking about it constantly.

Am I missing something or is keeping the identity of the soldier completely contrived? What possible explanation would there be?

I feel like I might take the roots of this adventure and rewrite / expand on it so it makes more sense. Has anyone run this one sheet, and have any thoughts about it?

In the SWADE Conversion it says intelligent beings start with a d6 in the basic skills, which is different from SWADE. Is this correct for PC characters or is it a typo? it's not really explained why it's different.

I'm going to be running the original Rippers plot point campaign, using the resurrected rules, in SWADE.

I'm wondering how much the characters should know at the start. Should they know who Dr. Jack is, who Frankenstein and Griffin, and Moreau are and their fall and their relationship to the organization?

There is a letter from Johann in the original Rippers books that kind of lays all this out, so it seems like it's common knowledge, but it also feels like an awkward info dump.

What do you guys think?
