I've been using Godot to run some image processing with shaders - place an image into a TextureRect in a SubViewport, assign the shader, force render, then take the resulting image for further processing.

It works, but there's an issue. I'm using these functions (as members of a subviewport class):

func render():
	var scene_tree = self.get_tree()
	var root_viewport = scene_tree.root.get_viewport_rid()
	RenderingServer.viewport_set_active(root_viewport, false)

 	# Render SubViewport once
	RenderingServer.frame_post_draw.connect(_frame_drawn)
	RenderingServer.viewport_set_update_mode(self.get_viewport_rid(), RenderingServer.VIEWPORT_UPDATE_ONCE)
	RenderingServer.force_draw()
	await Rend

I've been using a kerenzikov (plus all the kerenzikov support cyberware) for most of my latest playthrough, but it rarely feels very useful.

Does anyone have any tips or recommendations for using the kerenzikov in an optimal fashion? Best weapons, strategies, anything like that?

So, we're all familiar with Constellation, the main faction of the game. And unfortunately, it turns out they're all a bunch of nagging, whiny, milquetoast, unemployed archeologist wannabes hanging around a country club, spending their rich friend's money.

Now imagine if Constellation had to contend with a group of rivals. Say, a bunch of rowdy, devil-may-care treasure hunters known for perpetrating chaotic-neutral mischief in their search for rare and valuable items. Maybe they wander the Settled Systems in an old derelict freighter to stay under the radar. Maybe they have a dangerous alien pet as a mascot or a stolen military robot that likes to crack wise and can't follow orders properly

I was wondering what info everyone had regarding the buildable weapon modifications and which are objectively the best for their particular guns. For example, in FO4 any explosive shotgun would dominate. But here, while the explosive trait is always good, it feels like a shotgun with the explosive rounds magazine mod may not necessarily be the strongest option.

What I'm hoping for is a mod that fixes this problem:

Every time I go into Whiterun for the first time, it's always "We need swords," "Give me your lunch money," "Clan Battleborn," "Screw your old sword." Then nothing. And it's not just Whiterun that's the problem, but it's particularly noticeable there. Is there anything that can fix this? Maybe delay these city quests by differing amounts, or randomize them, or something? The cities in Skyrim would instantly seem more immersive if citizens had a quest to give you occasionally, instead of all on the same day, then never again.

I've checked mods like Timing Is Everything, At Your Own Pace, and Delayed Quest Starts, but none of them affect

What's the mechanic behind the Berserker's Raging Thunder spin count? Half the time, it seems to end almost immediately. I can't spin to win if I never spin. I've tried at full stamina, empty stamina, standing still, moving, holding buttons, releasing all buttons, but I can never seem to find a consistent method of getting the maximum number of spins.

Is the spin count random? Does the move end immediately if you get hit? Or am I making a mistake somewhere? I couldn't find any commentary on the spin mechanic, so maybe this thread can provide a definitive answer. Thanks in advance.

The most recent update added a new mechanic to the Cartian Spells boss summon, allowing more scrolls to be used for stronger bosses/more loot.

Maybe it's too early to ask, but - how's the new method looking in terms of loot vs. scroll count? Do you get a net increase in drops using the buffed bosses vs. using each scroll individually?

So, this game features a wide variety of ways to fight, essentially, the same handful of bosses. What I'd like to know is: how does the effective difficulty of each version compare one to another? Summon scrolls vs. Rift echo vs. Dark rift vs. World boss etc. etc.? Is there an officially recognized hierarchy or a list of expected AP for every version?

As in, stories that make the reader feel immersed in the setting. I've read a lot of different books, and they usually seem to put lots of emphasis on characters and narrative (and stats and skills) but very little on actually setting the scene and making the reader feel what it's like to be there. You know, details, man.

Does anyone know any stories that don't just gloss over the setting, but instead go that extra mile to make you experience it? And if you have one but it's not quite litrpg, I'm not picky; even tangentially related genres will do.

One thing I always think of when I read one of those "kingdom development (or village or business or etc. etc.)" isekai stories is "I wonder if I could do that."

And usually I have to answer "no." I feel like, even if I know the basics of certain practical everyday-life technologies, I doubt I could make them from scratch, using period-accurate tools and materials.

So what I'm wondering is - does anyone know of any sort of instructional manual for an isekai (or time-travel) situation? Like a survival handbook, except with a goal one step higher than survival. Stuff like: how to design and build a plough or crossbow, but starting from "finding and collecting metal ores." Or how to refine pr

Before you downvote out of reflex, wait just a second. This isn't about the story (or the unfortunate title), it's about story accessibility.

I was browsing through the all-time Top stories for the last couple of days, and I came upon a problem: after the first few pages, nearly every single "story" is a chapter of First Contact by Ralts Bloodthorne. From #400 to 1000, I'd estimate that over 80% of the entries on the list are First Contact.

Given the limited number of spots on the top stories list, the fact that literally hundreds of those spots are taken up by a single story is a real problem. I'd really like to read some highly rated stories, but I can't find them because they're all

I'm not even going to touch this game again until they've fixed the new bugs they've introduced with this patch. With this many changes introduced all at once, the bugs are likely to be massive and potentially dangerous.

So, everyone has doubtlessly seen the Mr. Whitey ads around Night City. Offering "Sweet Clean Speed x2," and indicating a dude snorting it with a rolled up bill and an R16+ restriction, at first glance it seems obvious it's some sort of amphetimine.

Except

the game considers it a type of food. And the ads clearly indicate it comes in bar form with some sort of worm core (and we know that worms are indeed a type of foodstuff in the Cyberpunk universe). So...what exactly are we looking at here? Does anyone have a reasonable lore explanation for these seemingly contradictory facts? It bugs me when things don't add up.
