MM Rogues and recall knowledge seems like a bit of a mess.

If I succeed/critically succeed, they are off-guard.

If I critically fail, I get false info (potentially) and they are not off-guard. But the DM has to act like they ARE off-guard, or I know that I critically failed and got false info.

So what if the GM hides that they aren't actually off-guard... I hit, but then I have to determine whether I roll sneak attack or not, so does GM just go down a rabbit hole to hide the false info by saying "roll sneak attack damage" and then not applying it?
Particularly in a VTT, this is problematic.

Are secret checks generally just a pain in the butt? What do you guys think about th

I'm looking at Investigator and Palatine Detective, and there are abilities where you can do something or get a bonus against creatures you have successfully recalled knowledge about. If I'm fighting 4 skeletons of the same type, does recalling against 1 give the bonuses/options against all of the same type? Or do I have to keep recalling about each one?

I'm specifically looking at Mystic Aegis and Palatine Strike.

I just beat the "True Ending" and Nasir (ethereal at camp) wants me to bring a message to the mage tower. I need a bit of a break after the grind. Does this open up any new boss or area? Or just some sort of easter egg type of thing? Please feel free to spoil it....

Forge Down?

Forge Question

Me and my players can't get in... I'm guessing it's a global issue?

Just curious if anyone has played with a young kid and how the experience went. I don't want to rush it yet, but if it's fun (and I know each kid is different), I would love to bring my kid along on the ride.

When I was a kid, it was playmobil castle sets... I miss those so much. What is the current best in class for a kid who wants to build castles and have pretend battles in and around them?

I got the Astral upgrade that gives me 7% move speed per astral ability I have... I had every single one, and it gave me no move speed (I was slower than coop partner who only had 15% increased speed via still waters). Is this a common bug? Is this implying entire abilities sometimes don't affect characters, or just move speed issues?

Sorry if this is a noob question, but why are there no blightstormers in the newest maps? I haven't seen one in several hours of play.

I'm having an issue: For PF2e there is a "Demoralize" ability that correctly maps to an animation. The thing is, Demoralize doesn't actually roll your intimidate check.

There is also an Action Macro named Demoralize:Intimidation. This doesn't seem to be mappable from what I've tried.

Any way to have the animation map to when you actually roll the Intimidate check?

After finishing AV, our next campaign is going to be out in the open a bit more with the potential for more enemies per combat.

As I was planning these "larger" encounters, I realized that there are some limitations built into standard encounter creation... to add more enemies, you need to lower the level of each enemy to balance the difficulty.

Because of the way scaling accuracy and AC/Saves works, at some point you will increase the size of the battle so much that every enemy will rarely hit and every hero will crit every enemy constantly.

Are there ways to go past 6-8 enemies in a battle? Has anyone experimented with this?

My thought was that even Level-2 enemies could have higher ac

I can't for the life of me figure out how to get item piles to work with Pathfinder 2e and I've been looking everywhere for a guide.

I think I understand setting "Actor class tyupe" as "loot" but I don't know what to set for everything else.

Does anyone have a guide?
