I thought I was at a DYI Solar page. Sorry to all those recommending that I bye a plug and play battery and inverter. But that has nothing to do with DYI. Learning is my goal. Not a solar system that I plug in. The wire diagram like everything else is temporary. And will evolve the original is out of date and represents a what this looks like when I have it put together the first time. but problems make changes and learning only happens when you make mistakes so they happend and I did. New wiring diagram to come.

new set up with concrete backer board DC fuse and new spacing. Two fans on the DC fuse. first pic was how I started

I removed the Transfer switch after numerous trials, figuring that without a new interface like a Pi, I could not control the inverter properly or without risk of damage and fire. So, I am working on a Raspberry Pi-controlled switch for controlling the battery usage and maximum discharge and fill.

Had to add two fans to the setup because i may have messed up my Inverter already. The power switch does nothing. The fan in the inverter only comes on when the power is cycled on from the battery, even though it was not working last night it got hot but not sure. Have to wait till the solar is done and it switches to batteries to see for sure.

I will try to keep it simple

I am trying to get the ATS or the MOES switch to go up to a certain percentage of battery charge and then switch to battery power. Then, when it gets to 20% or so it will switch to grid. The MOES switch can do this, but I am having problems with it when it goes to batterys, I have to switch to the Inverter outlets instead of staying on the ATS switch outlet. Which then does not work. But when I was charging up to that point it was fine running everything

The Inverter is a 2000 watt Renogy with a transfer switch. When power goes out it switchs to battiers. there could be setting but none is availible that I can see to make changes on the Inverter.

I need help with a couple of problems I will try to make it simple but I am really new at this and am still figuring how things like the multi meter.

first I had everything working (I thought) but could not get the Inverter or the Auto switch to shut off before the batteries ran out the whole thing went dead till tomorrow or when the sun gets the batteries to about 50% charge so I can test different things. I set the low battier shut off on the Auto shut off but if did not do what I thought. So I thought maybe the inverter has to match what the Auto shut off is set to but and maybe the solar charge controller,

Last night I set the MOES auto switch to what I thought would turn off at 25%
