TIL that a real great white shark accidentally changed Jaws: the shark broke loose an empty cage, so Spielberg rewrote Hooper's fate. [OP: u/heyauden]
abc.net.au/news/2022-04-30/valerie-taylor-sha...I know that some people skip the episode, and I understand why. But I always watch it when it airs (unless I just happen to miss it, but I already have it set to record tomorrow), because it is his and Trapper's last episode, and there's some great dialogue (as there is in most episodes).
The last time the episode was on MeTV, in April, the scene where Henry is talking to his wife and kids on the phone was shortened. I described the missing parts in this post, so let's keep our fingers crossed that they restored those few minutes. I'll be watching.
I'm pretty sure this has been covered here before; in fact, I'm almost sure there was a post about it a while back. But finding specific old posts on Reddit can sometimes be a challenge, and since it has been some time since there was a post about this (at least, I haven't seen any in a while), then maybe it's time to bring it up again. Better than asking why Doc didn't use the gas from the DeLorean in the mine, right?
Anyway, when Marty drives out of the barn at the Peabody farm (according to the sign on the fence, it's "Twin Pines Ranch") and onto the road, he's only driving for a few seconds when he's surprised to see the newly built entrance to Lyon Estates. Some may argue that he was d
I’ve had a Citizen digital/analog wristwatch that I love (with a couple of variations of the face color) for many years that’s not manufactured any more. I can remove the screw-on caseback and change the battery myself, which saves me a little money; but when one of them starts to malfunction (after several years), I’ve had to look for online resellers for another one, and over time they’ve been harder and harder to find. I know eventually I won’t be able to find them at all, but for now, I can still count on them.
One of them has started to show its age, so I recently found another one online and purchased it; but when it arrived, I found out that one of the function buttons didn’t work pr
Was just watching "That's Show Biz Part II" on MeTV (as many of you likely were), and Radar was there at the beginning of the opening titles. I know they kept Gary Burghoff in the opening credits for a couple of episodes after he left, but I just thought it was a little odd that he was in the start of an episode two seasons later. I guess since the episode was originally an hour long. it was split into two episodes for syndication, but as far as I can tell, every other syndicated episode was consistent with him being absent from the opening titles after he left. I suppose someone wasn't paying attention when they edited this one.
The "Back to the Future" you didn’t see: Co-creator Bob Gale on discarded scenes, Jeff Goldblum as Doc Brown, and why there will never be a "Part IV"

goldderby.comJust watched the movie for the umpteenth time, and my 15-year-old son watched it with me. (He hadn't seen it before and he loved it.) But when Val is trying to get to the bulldozer and he has to stop so the graboids can't find him, a thought occurred to me: Throughout the movie, people stop running or walking so the graboids don't sense their vibrations, and they're all wearing some kind of shoes or boots. But if someone was barefoot and standing still, do you think the graboids could sense their heartbeat through their feet and find them?
