I'd love to upgrade ans get more compatibility with PC and Switch games, but I'm waiting for a device like I described above. I currently have the Flip 2 and it's great, but often I run into performance issues with some games.

A clamshell with more power/ram, and maybe a bigger screen, would be my dream device.

Hi all, I've been using my flip 2 for a few months (even today) without issues. This evening the left trigger has started giving me issues... It isn't detecting properly. In the gamepad test application (in Input Control) I can see that it's always detected. If I u set the triggers to analog, they can be detected correctly without issue (going smoothly from 0.0 to 1.0), but otherwise it's either constantly being activated, or clicking on and off.

Should I open it up to see if there's something physically wrong with the trigger? Has anyone here dealt with this?

Hello!

Merci :)

I was feeling quite rusty, it was my first big project coming out of a year-long parental leave. Quite happy with the results.

Things I'm happy about:

  • I built a diy shittyrig version of a Cartoni Total Dutch, and it worked quite well for a few tilting shots
  • I built a mirror board to have a poor man's CRLS, it also worked well
  • For one scene we went for a kinda Bob Richardson style of lighting - unbleached muslin on the table, 700x hitting directly into it, and the bounce takes care of the faces. Pretty fun.
  • Mixing hard and soft light is always fun

I'm not very happy with the living room scene. We went for a kinda moodier, warmer look, but every time I

Say I want to do a sort of sudden dutch. What rigging is required to keep the rotation point centered at where the lens is?

I'm asking because, although I haven't tested it yet, if I simply rig my camera sideways and tilt with my tripod, the lens will move quite a bit.

I'd love to get a movement where the rotation is centered. A bit like the shot in Game Night with the door knob twisting with the camera... Doable? Is it all done in post?

This is the shot I'm talking about, around 2:02. https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/1nzru4q/game_night_2018_dir_john_franci_daley_and/

I'm itching for a good twin-stick shooter, anyone have good recommendations?

I'm on the Flip 2, and I already have Geometry Wars for the Wii, looking for other suggestions.

Hi all,

Resolve keeps crashing when I render out my project, and I'm not sure what the issue is.

I've included in this link a screenshot of my system specs as well as the Resolve crash logs.

https://www.swisstransfer.com/d/f08b3c3b-f797-4e84-8640-1b6ac498579a

Usually it ends up telling me something about my GPU memory being full, but I'm not sure what I can do about that.

My project in Resolve is all BRAW footage captured on the BMPCC 6k pro, graded with a mix of regular nodes and Filmbox.

If anyone has any clue I'd appreciate it :)

4 years in a row my dad got me Alexa machines for Christmas. I've since reminded him that I have plenty of machines and I don't really use them anyway.

I've set them up all around my apartment and use them pretty much exclusively to play Spotify all over my apartment (kitchen, living room, my office, bedroom, and sometimes my daughter's bedroom as well).

I've been wondering for a while, how much would it cost (and how would I go about doing this) to have a "dumber" system? My dream would be to have a hard drive somewhere with my music, and one device on a wall (or an app if we want to be fancy) to control playback, and maybe volume as well, and to have cheap speakers to replace the Alexas.
