I certainly think it's more of a testament to the defense over the last three years but it's still a neat stat.
I was looking through some of Mike Rob's college stats and they're simply astounding. If you click through Penn State's stats from 2003 to 2005 you'll find that in each of those years he led his team in a different stat.
*Yards from scrimmage (mostly from rushing) in 2003 *Receiving yards in 2004 *And of course passing yards in 2005
He never stuck to a single position for longer than a season yet he dominated at all of them. It's sad that a guy that rushed, received and passed his way into the Heisman conversation in college ended up getting drafted by that idiot Mike Singletary who looked at him an thought 'we should mak
What's up with Ware? It's kind of weird he's still on the roster as a second FB especially since he's been dealing with injuries. A month and a half ago it was unthinkable that Williams would be cut before Ware.
What ever he's doing to impress, it's working. He's outlasted Harper, Robinson and now Williams in spite of probably being the most disposable player on the roster.
Okay why aren't we talking about Mike Rob? He's been a free agent for over a month now so what do we know? He's obviously not even looking for another job and is just waiting for a call from the Seahawks.
He's very good reason to expect a call if you think about it. Coleman and Ware aren't fighting for the starting position. They're still fighting for a roster spot whether they know it or not. The Winner will play behind Mike Rob for a season or two but not be active on the game roster.
I'd be very surprised if Pete ever had any intention of keeping both Coleman
tldr; all those in favor of giving Kam Chancellor more chances to make full speed, unabated, blindside sacks against Kaepernick next year just say 'aye'.
So I'm left wondering why this team is looking so hard for their last linebacker (SAM) when they have a secondary like this. Is who ever they put at SAM going to be such a good run defender and pass rusher it's worth the trade in coverage? Maybe if Irvin really is a Von Miller clone but probably not. I don't think Seattle is forced to trade off size for speed, run defense for pass coverage, like all other teams. If they want to rebalance their defense they can field all their best players at once without putting themselves in size/speed
What are the chances we see the Seahawks' try an up tempo no huddle offense this season? Before we even talk about why they would want to go no huddle I want to see if you guys think this offense has what it takes to run it.
These are a few things I think Seattle has that every offense would need or really want to have before developing a no huddle system.
*A QB that can call his own plays by reading the defense. It might be a huge assumption that Wilson can match Peyton Manning as the only other QB of this generation (that I can think of) capable of calling most of his own plays in only his second season.
*Chemistry. The passing attack improved consistently the longer Wilson an
