We’re abroad with our 10.5 month old, who at home sleeps independently for naps and bedtime. After the first couple rough nights, when I had to nurse him to sleep,
he is going down without assistance at bedtime, but I’m still assisting every nap by either nursing or stroller/carrier.

Have you been able to get your baby back to “normal” after sleep training disruptions due to traveling?

We are in a time zone three hours ahead of our own, but we’re keeping the baby on his same schedule (so his 6am wake up time is now 9am, which somehow feels so luxurious even though I know it makes no difference except in my head lol).

Things I loved:

- The lead performances by Sam Claflin, Jeremy Irons and the three actors who played Edmond’s antagonists. I always love Blake Ritson and the other two were both intensely compelling to watch. (What a face on the actor who played Fernand! When he was onscreen I couldn’t take my eyes off him.) Also loved Jacopo. Great casting there.

- The sets and locations

- All the scenes between Edmond and Abbé Faria

Things I wasn’t crazy about:

- While I thought Mercedes was fine, I was disappointed with the casting of actresses with such obvious Botox and fillers, Villefort’s wife especially could not move her face. It was very distracting in a period drama.

- Some of the co

I used to complain two months ago when my baby could nurse for an hour and never seemed to want to unlatch. Now I long for those days.

I used to be able to sit peacefully during his feedings, holding my Kindle in one hand, maybe sipping a coffee.

But now? Now he’s eating solids, trying to walk/crawl…and treating my boobs like a grazing table.

We get one nice, peaceful feeding first thing in the morning. And then throughout the day, we slowly descend into chaos.

Did he see the cat jump on the sofa next to us? Did he hear Papa clear his throat upstairs? Did he just remember he has toes? Time to whip that little head around! Let go of Mama’s nipple first, you say? Ho ho ho, let’s not be

My baby used to only contact nap (had to be held by dad, in the carrier with me [mom], or latched on the breast for pretty much all naps). A couple weeks ago after persistent efforts, we finally got him napping in his crib, but since then his nights have gone to shit.

We sleep trained him early (CIO), so he goes down independently after a consistent bedtime routine. And he was able to sleep at least 10 hours solid at night, barring illness or travel, whatever.

But now he’s having night wakings 3-6 hours after falling asleep, as well as early morning wakings. Every night.

Since I follow this sub the first thing I thought to do was adjust his schedule. He was taking 3 naps/day when we

When my little one gets bigger and asks me how she got her name, I want to be able to tell her “Well sweetie, some random strangers on the internet picked it for you” 🥰🥰🥰
