Setting the ground work here. 35m married for 1.5 years to 38f been together for about 5 years. We have a 2 month old boy and she has two older (13 and 18 years old) from previous relationships. She is currently still on "maternity leave" (the USA sucks). My job only gives me 2 weeks paternity leave so I'm working.

My job is about 20 minutes each way and I'm supposed to work 10 hours. When requested I do take time off to leave early or if she says she needs me I'll leave at anytime. we even set up FMLA paperwork so my job couldn't really complain.

Today I go home about 10.5 hours after I left the house. The 13 year old standing at the top of the stairs worried about the dog. The

Am I out of line?

Advice Request

So I love my wife. She has two kids from previous relationships 13f and 18m. We also now have a 1 month old boy together.

Normal newborn struggles but that's not why I'm here.

something I've always battled with the step-daughter is just wasting energy and water. I've backed off on my comments overall but still point stuff out at times.

Like the one I regularly make directly to the step daughter is please close the door while the AC is on. This is because otherwise if she's waiting for her dad to pick her up she'll just leave it open for half hour or more. or when she's about getting ready to leave she'll just stand there with the door open for 10 minutes.

I don't like yell or anythi

Is there a trick I'm missing to getting this to work on linux. Or it just simply not supported for anti-cheat reasons. At least on the NA servers?

I'm out of ideas. I've tried clearing cache for auto, Google, Gemini. I've tried reinstalling android auto. I've tried switching back to Google assistant. All 3 apps have unrestricted access.

I'm simply out of ideas.

I can say ok Google and it will start listening and the wave form stuff will move like it's listening but it won't process anything. In either assistant or Gemini.

Like I haven't changed anything that should cause this to break.

Hello all. I think the wife and I finally agreed to a first name for our boy coming in a few months. But that's mainly just because it's the only name we agreed upon without discussion (we both added it to our list without realizing it). We settled on Evander because I wanted something a little less plain as my last name is Smith.

So any suggestions for a middle of name of an Evander Smith?

I have a 2012 Toyota RAV4 where the rear passenger side seat belt doesn't retract.

Is this more of a body shop job or can a mechanic shop do it?

Hello all,

I'm just curious how you all might handle this. I'm pretty positive if a truck driver (not an employee) uses our forklift or electric pallet jack we would be very liable because we obliviously didn't train them on said equipment.

I was just curious if any of you have deals with your shipping companies that require their employees are trained on at least electric pallet jacks (because that's what they grab if do grab something that's ours). Or do you just blanket ban non-employees from using company equipment unless they were trained to company standards?

This has been going on for years and will probably be hard to change but feel like it is something we need to do eventually

Hey all the kid is wanting to build a custom gaming PC for Christmas. As I'm sure you're all aware now isn't exactly a great time to be buying pc hardware.

If we do follow through with it I was thinking the intel GPUs have pretty good bang for the buck and depending on the games (I'm waiting on details on that from him) we might be able to save a windows license cost as well.

I know AMD is very well supported (rocking it on my PC) and Nvidia is getting better but don't hear much about the intel dedicated GPUs.

Hello I've been on the fence for awhile now. I had a steam deck and loved it for what it was but after my last trip it's messed up (weird boot sequence and it's always pressing down and stuff) but it's an OG one so I'm not really upset about it (it's been to a lot of states and like 4 countries).

But outside of travel I honestly don't really use it. So while a new steam deck oled seems like an easy buy for me with everything in the pipeline I feel it's not the best value time for pc handheld. If steam deck 2 gets announced more manufacturers ship with steam os I'll probably change my mind quickly. (Yes I know about the legion go s)

So I thought maybe one the emulator handhelds would be

My sister and future brother in law have asked us to watch my neice (10 months old) on their wedding night.

Which I would like to start with if better handled I would not be against. But we got asked less than 2 weeks before the wedding. She's never been to our house. Or even left alone with us before this.

And last weekend they both took the whole weekend off basically for their bachelor/rette parties.

Other than it being Opensuse based instead of Fedora based.

I feel an immutable OS fits my needs better and I like opensuse a lot. But universal blue definitely feels further ahead but that might be because I don't understand some of the technical differences.

Now as a layman to me these seem to do very similar things. But looking at all the experts they seem to do things very differently.

As someone who doesn't really tinker with their OS I'm thinking these atomic options would be great for me.

It seems Universal Blue has more community backing for these branches of OpenSuse and Fedora.

But are there things that might be harder or easier in one or the other. The only one I can see is Universal Blue lets you re-base on universal blue spins as you would like. Which to me doesn't seem like a huge deal especially if you go with like a general one like Aurora.

Then there Vanilla and Nix which I don't see what they're doing differently either ot

I'm curious how long they plan to support the hardware with updates? Because the phone does interest me but if it's only getting updates for like a year I'll probably go with a pixel despite it being bigger than I would like.
