I got inspired to build another WWII-inspired ship after a spree of building other WWII-ish ships and failing to make a modernish plane. I abhor fuel engines (I’ve never gotten the hang of them) so I tend to make steam my primary power production, especially turbo-electric drive because it’s so simple even though it takes unwieldy amounts of below-decks space.
My main struggle is having to justify to myself not to return to newbie-me’s habit of resorting to making it all nuclear powered. Bc I use turbines I tend to use motors to drive the cool steam props, but for this size ship I need 64k power to give each of the 4 motors per prop enough power to send the ship at high speeds.
Hi all. This morning I lost my camelback water bottle in a cloth carrying sash at Dodd Lecture Hall 147 after 11:00. I was looking for help finding it and the sash. The carrying sash was a dark/navy blue, and the bottle inside was a clear 1L UCLA camelback bottle.
If you happen to have it you can keep the bottle if you want (idk why when my germs are all over the mouthpiece) but please return the carrying holster. If you have it or know where it is please DM me.
A different post on here was asking about ideas to name their new ship, and naming schemes got brought up, and it made me think of my own naming scheme from my first campaign run. So, what’s the story behind how you decided on a naming scheme in a campaign?
For me, it started because I felt the name for the first ship I was semi-serious about building matched the color scheme I decided to follow. At the time of building, I was very much enthralled in the idea of an all-RTG-powered ship because “nuclear” (even if I needed an actual frickton of RTGs to power it) and so I looked up plans for the California class nuclear cruiser, and built a hull loosely based on its hull. On completion, I thou
So I’ve come across a couple fanfics that seem to have comic books in-universe that have Phantom as their main character much in the same way we have Marvel or DC comics. I’m pretty sure this is a fanon idea, but I would like confirmation that there wasn’t actually a Danny Phantom comic book in the show.
There’s this one fic where the batboys haven’t seen Tim in a while and for some reason see Marinette with her coffee and think she’s actually just a magically genderbent Tim. That’s like the only part of the plot I remember, I don’t even recall if the fic was Timari or not.
I'm honestly in a mood for slight Dumbles-bashing or manipulative!Dumbles for justification of hiding Harry away, but my main focus was for fics where Harry undergoes training before and/or during Hogwarts in some fashion where his capabilities and/or identity are for the most part hidden. I'm partial to fics like Quoth the Raven, Who Dares Wins, and Growing Up Black. I am tolerant of fics like Partially Kissed Hero, Harry Potter and the Iron Lady, and Hawk-Eyed Charlie (I know these last two are kinda over-the-top mugglewank but they certainly fit, again I'm tolerant of them but if we're gonna include muggles as a core part of the story it shouldn't really be at the complete expense of the
Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone would want to switch their lecture with Pham for LS 107 for my lecture with Chen for the same class. I have a time conflict that needs resolving. PM me if you’re interested.
So I have been trying to be a better Catholic, and this includes praying the holy rosary daily. But lately during prayer of the last two or so decades my mind wanders to how to open an ethical rehabilitation and work house for the homeless/destitute. At first I felt discouraged because I thought it meant I wasn’t focusing hard enough on the mysteries or on the prayer itself, but now I’m starting to question if it’s actually supposed to be something akin to a divine task.
I actually don’t know how I’m supposed to take this. It’s happened for the past few days and doesn’t leave my mind until long after I’ve finished praying the rosary for that day. Is it divine guidance or personal guilt from
Ok, so one thing I will admit is that I adore reading wholesome fanfiction. I stay away from that which is basically pornography in written form. With that said, I’m not sure if some of the ideas I picked up from some of these stories or how I’d interact with these characters if they were real would be heresy.
One of the fandoms I enjoy deal with magical beings that manage nature and are only seen if they are believed in. Some of these stories are so heartwarming that it makes me wish these characters and the rules that governs them were real. The problem is in that they oversee the forces of nature (winter, spring, etc), and I fear my desire for this to be the case is heretical as som
Hey guys, how does RSU work for the apartments. Say you have a group of 6 and try to get a 3bedroom 6 person university apartment, what happens if you can’t get a 3/6? Do you get to split up the group into a 3person & 3 person in diff apartments? Can you do a 4 person and a 2 person? If you have 4 people and can’t get a 4person/2bed can you get a 3person apartment and assign someone to the Hill? HELP PLEASE.
Hi! Myself (19M) and my roommate (20M), are two sophomores looking for two to three more people to join us in our roommate group before we try for a university apartment. Our current early RSU time slot is 3/2/2020 at 1430 hours (2:30 PM). We’re trying to go for the four or five person units so that way food budgeting isn’t as tight. If you’re interested please message me and we can discuss details, especially with regards to lifestyle compatibility, deal breakers for all parties involved, and which apartment building you were hoping to get.
