Location Tuning

Troubleshooting

Howdy. I’m having trouble getting the correct notifications when I am home. I live in County A in Oklahoma, but I am just barely east of County B. So this puts me in the Tulsa NWS region but the weather coming towards me is warned out of Norman NWS. However, I spend my time at work and away from home in County B. So GPS as the location works well when I’m not at home, but fails for notifications when I am home. At best I get the Tulsa warning just as the watch or warning is issued for County A. It seems like there was an option to set the location to a nearby airport or weather station, but I don’t find it now.

What should I do differently?

Hi. My wife has a Satisfyer, the original no-frills version, and she loves it. She has a little trouble holding on to it and with the controls sometimes when the arthritis in her hands is flared up. Can someone recommend a toy with the same effectiveness but that might be more ergonomic and easier to hold?

She prefers toys with less complex patterns, but does like a good range of speed and intensity.

We’ve just got our new sand filter to replace our paper cartridge filter. Thought I was good to go, but now I’m learning there’s “pool filter sand”, which we used in the previous pool and “silica pool filter sand”. What the hell, what’s the difference and which is better?

Our pool doesn’t get heavy use, but we are in the country and get a fair amount of junk blown in.

We have a 27’x52”, 29000 gallon above ground with a cartridge filter and 1.5hp 2 stage pump motor. We’re wanting to switch to sand filter, our previous pool was sand and we had much less trouble keeping it clean.

We’ve been told by the pool shop that we would need a 22” sand filter and a 2hp motor. I was hoping to avoid buying a new pump motor and don’t exactly trust the pool shop. I’m getting conflicting answers from the web about both the filter can size and the pump motor size.

What do you guys think? Shelling out another couple hundred bucks for a pump on top of the filter could be a deal breaker. Also, feel free to talk me into staying with the cartridge.

Thanks!

I think I missed my cakeday. 18 years and didn’t know CakeDayNudes was even a thing. Any kind ladies with a somewhat belated cakeday wish?

I was recently given an X-Carry by an elderly friend who can’t shoot anymore. It’s a great firearm and I’d like to carry it occasionally but I’m having a tough time sorting out compatible holsters. It looks like the X-Carry should work in a holster designed for the M18, which I’ve read here. Will a holster designed for the P320 Carry model work also?

And, if anyone has a recommendation for a good OWB holster with Level 2 retention for the X-Carry I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

I bought an HTH 6 way test kit. On the total hardness test I dropped the 5 drops of hardness indicator into the tube and my sample turned brilliant shade of purple. After about 30 drops of the titrant it never turned back to green. I got online with HTH and fhe rep said maybe I needed to have my water tested at a nearby pool store.

Googling the problem gave me some answers that I may need to add some calcium chloride or Hardness Increaser to the water. I live in a rural area, and our water is already known for being pretty hard so I’m hesitant to start dumping anything to increase that into the water.

Any ideas? Or should I just go ahead and get the water tested and let the pool store se
