I was recently looking into registering for the "Learn to Swim" swimming classes programs over at the Carville Community Center just across the border in City of Vaughan Vaughan, and I was completely blindsided by their new registration process.
Instead of the standard, simple "click here to agree to terms" checkbox at checkout, inside the community centre Vaughan is now forcing parents to sign a massive, separate 4-page "Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement."
I actually took the time to read through the legalese, and the clauses they are forcing residents to sign are incredibly aggressive for a basic kids' swim class:
• The Waiver of R
Saw parents signing their kids and their own right away, literally. I don’t think anyone read these.
Any parents registering their kids for the "Learn to Swim" swimming lessons programs at City of Vaughan this season (specifically experienced this at Carville Community Center, but it applies city-wide on PerfectMind).
If you haven’t registered yet, be prepared: the city has completely changed how they handle liability. Instead of the old, simple "click here to agree to terms" checkbox at checkout, they are now forcing you to review and sign a massive, separate 4-page "Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement."

How many of you have LinkedIn and when did you start?
If my kids are going to events that are for recognition of their achievements and somebody mentioned they might need LinkedIn to create connections but I’m thinking what is the point if somebody is in grade 11 or 12 because time we graduate university will be pointless so I think it’s more beneficial in first year of university.
Thoughts?
Seems like CLS leadership is trying to send a signal of high confidence. Over last two days:
Robert Mionis - Chief Executive Officer - acquired 780,376 shares
Leila Wong - Chief Human Resources Officer - acquired 61,224 shares
Chawla Mandeep - Chief Financial Officer - acquired 183,674 shares
Etienvre Yann - Chief Operations Officer - acquired 160,126 shares
Jason Phillips - President - acquired 174,254 shares
Todd Cooper - President - acquired 160,126 shares
All are direct ownership of common shares.
Management clearly believes recent Google linked sells off is unwarranted.
Celestica (CLS) shares took a hit of almost 8% on today Jan 21, following Digitimes’s report that Google’s tensor processing unit servers might be made by someone else. It mentioned that Google has increased its orders for its L10-L11 TPU servers to Inventec and other Taiwanese companies, according to sources. Sure seems standard as a strategy to reduce "single-source risk." Before the servers beyond the L10 were usually put together by Celestica. Report also said that Inventec plans to boost its AI server production a lot in 2026.
Inventec is critical because it is one of Celestica’s most direct competitors in the global AI server supply chain. It's one of the "Big Five" Taiwanese manufac
Hey everyone,
I went through the actual numbers (approximate ball park, don’t torture me) for XEQT’s country allocation because I didn’t like just seeing “Other” on their website. I summed the Market Value of all underlying holdings where the Location equals that country, after removing the ETF wrapper funds (XIC, XEF, ITOT, XTOT, XEC). SO basically my country totals are a full look-through of XEQT’s holdings by reported location, excluding only the ETF wrappers — so they include equities plus derivatives and small cash/FX positions. This includes everything reported in the holdings file for that country — not just common stocks.
Here’s the approximate spread based on market value as o

How much guidance or decisions were your parents involved in applying to universities? Did they tell you which programs to apply to? Did they help you practice interviews? Review your applications? Guide you in courses to take in grade 11 & 12?
I go beyond and above for my kids in trying to help them decide which university to apply to, researching programs, prerequisites and giving maximum support in subjects. Also trying to guide them and decide. Not sure if I am overstepping.
In the span of one week, Celestica posted a string of insider filings: multiple Form 144s, multiple Form 4 insider sales, a Form 4/A, and the last one - an 8-K announcing the Audit Committee Chair resigning.
Individually, none of these would bother me. But all of them together, in the same week, feels unusual. Also a major governing body steps down right in the same week. Maybe I’m reading into this too much.
Is anyone else digging into this? Do you see this as normal end-of-year activity, or something worth paying attention to?
So apparently Shopify had a bit of a sales scandal going on as per "The Logic" article this morning. Why is the stock shooting up though?
Story Summary: Over the past year or so, some salespeople were exaggerating the value of deals to earn bigger commissions. The company eventually noticed when new merchants came on board and didn’t deliver the revenue numbers that had been projected. From what I’ve read, it was a “single-digit” number of employees involved, but the revenue gap could have been tens of millions.
They had aggressive quotas, a new commission structure that paid on intent rather than actual revenue, and minimal verification. Basically, **if a merchant said they’d hit a cert
